Little Green: population 2592

This town wasn't named after the forests that line the roads or the lake that even though it was called Big Blue, was neither big nor blue. This little town, nestled among giant trees and shrouded in mist was better known by the stories of Little Green Men who pay the locals a visit during the cover of night.

The small town in Maryland is filled with dedicated believers of strange men from outer space and they all have stories to tell about their own close encounters of the third kind. Although, wandering tourists who come to see ET will be quick to say their most alien encounter was with local population of toads in Big Blue.

When Dana Scully's family moves to Little Green for her father's reassignment, she sticks out like a sore thumb (and not because of her ginger hair). Dana's a nonbeliever in the extraterrestrial that the town pride themselves on, as well as being a sceptic on pretty much anything paranormal. Her heart is with science and the knowledge associated with it, the black and white that science delivers; while everyone else in the town seem more than happy to believe in shades of grey and that grainy photographs and campfire stories are cold hard evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial life.

With her different views and out of town demeanour, it's no wonder why she doesn't fit into Little Green. She's the brand new outcast with the unpopular opinions until she meets someone even more of an outcast than herself.

His name is Fox Mulder but his peers call him Spooky and he irrevocably believes in the existence of aliens and all things paranormal.

If it were any other place in any other circumstance, Dana wouldn't think twice about acquainting herself with someone known as Spooky. But in a town so small filled with curious folks, even the strangest of people make better friends than no one.

If only Dana Scully knew what befriending Spooky Mulder would get herself into.

• guess who became obsessed with the x files? (the answer is most definitely me!) i never thought i would see the day when my main otp got overtaken by another otp. i'm sorry tom & b'elanna but mulder and scully are endgame <3

• this will be a teen!fic set in the 90s with all of our favourite characters popping up here and there

• due to the tear inducing time of my life known as university, this fic (like all my others) will be on hold until i find time to not die from uni assignments
