Chapter 9

BRAD'S POV

-DREAM-

I smile as I see Jade stood there smiling and we are walking through a wood and I smile as she disappears off into the shadows

I look around the woods and everything goes dark and the only light that there is, is from the moon in the midnight sky

I hear a twig break behind me and I spin around but see nothing

Even though it is dark I don't panic, I feel safe in this place

"I love you" a voice says, in a masculine tone

-END OF DREAM-

I wake up with a start, I feel that I have a sweat on

I lean over and I grab my phone to check the time

6:42am

I send a quick text to James

Brad: Come to mine the morning, need to talk ASAP!

I sigh as I lay back down putting my hand behind my head

Who the hell was the person that said I love you in my dream

IN THE MORNING...

I wake up without having another weird dream

I run my hand through my hair as I sit up in bed

I slide out of bed and I pick up my t-shirt that I was wearing last night before bed and slide on some pjama bottoms that I was wearing last night before bed as well

I just get to hot in bed

I do a little stretch before I pick up my phone and I see that James hasn't texted me back

I walk into the kitchen and I put some toast in and stroll into the living room

My flat wasn't amazingly big, which is quite odd because of the job I have

The toaster pops up and I walk into the kitchen to put butter on the toast

As I butter my toast there is a knock on the door I go and unlock it and James walks in

"Sorry I didn't reply as soon as I woke up I came straight round here I didn't even bother getting dressed" he says as he walks straight in

I look at him, he is wearing check pjama bottoms and a white t-shirt

"It's alright, do you want something to eat?" I ask pointing towards the toaster

He nods, so I put some more toast in

I walk with my toast around to the bar stools and sit down facing James

"So what's wrong?" he asks

"I had a dream last night" I say

"About Jade?" he says more like a question

I nod "yeah but something else happened in the dream"

"Brad if its hanky panky, I don't want to know" James says with a laugh shaking his head

"NO, NO! It isn't any thing like that" I say putting my hands up in defense

"So basically, I was in a woods with Jade and it was perfect and we had been on a picnic and all of a sudden Jade disappeared and I heard this noise like a twig breaking and then I turned around to hear someone saying 'I love you' and it was a males voice" I say

I look up and meet James' eyes, he has gone a bit pale

"Are you ok mate?" I ask

"I feel quite ill I will message you ok, don't worry about it, it might just be your dreams getting mixed up with something you was thinking about earlier on, don't worry about it bye" James says before he leaves
