Riley's POV
" I love you........" What Maya said struck me like a knife.
" I love yo-" I was cut off by a kiss. Maya kissed me deeply and I did the same. The kiss got deeper by the minute. Soon we plopped down on my bed and continued. We were there for a few minutes and finally broke apart. I just lay there breathlessly. Until Maya spoke up.

" Riley, will you be my girlfriend?" I answered back with a kiss. We let go a few seconds after.
" Does that answer your question?" I said sarcastically. We both laughed but then I stopped. I just thought, how are we gonna tell our parents?
" Maya?" I asked." How are we going to tell our parents?" Her smile turned into a frown.
" We don't..." She said. What does she mean, we don't? Is she saying that we don't tell our parents at all? I tell them everything!

" But I tell them everything!" I complained." And besides, they are going to figure it out sooner or later!" Maya smirked.
" I choose later," she says. I breathed heavily. I slowly walk over to her and put my arms around her. She flinched when I did that but eventually hugged back. I then heard the door click.

" What's going on in here?" It was my mom. I gave Maya a look that says we have to tell. She finally nodded.
" Mom? We have something to tell you..." I trailed off.
" Do you want to have a family meeting?" She asked. We both nodded as we walked out into the living room.

" Hey Cory, Auggie, family meeting." They were both in the kitchen with mouths full of cake." Hey! I just made that cake!" Me and Maya laughed. They quickly cleaned up and walked over to the couch. Mom looked over at us.

" You had something to tell us?" We sat there not saying a word.
" I-I. We-we." Maya stuttered. I stood up and dragged Maya with me.
" Remember when I told you that I was straight?" Mom and Dad looked at each other.
" Well." We both leaned in and went into a long passionate kiss. We felt two hands breaking us apart. It was my dad. He looked angry. He started yelling.

" YOUR GAY?!?!?!?" We looked shocked at his expression. Me and Maya immediately let go of his grip and ran. I had a bag over by the door for emergencies only. And this was definitely an emergency! I grabbed the bag and we ran out of the building. We suddenly saw my mom chasing after us.

" Riley! Maya! Come back!" I never looked back.
