Levi's POV:

As I used my 3DM gear to glide myself through the towering trees of the forest, which strongly resembled a deep abyss, I soon found my self nearing a silhouette hanging from a branch. Gunther Schultz. One of my squad members, the nape of his neck had been sliced open as of a titan's. Lost in horror, my eyes dashed franticly upon the shadowed darkness which lay beneath me. Not far from Gunther, I noticed Eld Jinn. His body was vertically cut in half. Seconds later I noticed Auro Bozzardo, spine snapped and blood was pouring from his mouth. The pace of my heart doubled as I realized that there was only one person who I hadn't discovered yet... Petra Ral... "No, no please be safe, please just be with the others..." I mumbled to myself. 'PETRA!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!????? PLEASE, ARE YOU FAR!!!!!!????' I was now internally screaming at myself. But then, I...I-I saw her...

I first caught a glimpse of her sunset blonde hair, slightly swaying in the breeze. I swiftly advanced towards her delicate frame, placing her perished spine against my arm and placing her on my lap, I held her so close just to make sure she's near me even though she's gone, my tears streaming like waterfalls from my face. Everything we did together, just seemed to flash before my eyes in seconds.

"Heicho... y-you wanted to see me?" asked the young cadet. "Petra, please just call me Levi when we're alone..." The girl nodded in response. Levi clasped Petra's hands within his own as he held her close to him "Petra, I swear I won't let anything ever happen to you. y-y... you're keeping me alive, you're the only one who can do that Petra. you are like a salvation to me, I know I can't lose you and I won't lose you!" Levi was almost to the point of screaming now, with both him and Petra in tears. "Levi, you won't lose me, as long as you hold me, heal me and keep me near... not even death can do us part..." She stated with a sad smile adorning her features. The next few hours were spent as the two just held onto each other. Little did she know that Levi had also sent a letter of his own to Petra's father, for Levi wishes to never let Petra go... However, with the 57th expedition tomorrow, Levi knows he can't let go of the one thing keeping him alive...

"LEVI!!!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU, YA LIL' SHORT ASS!!!!!!" I was brought back to reality by that shitty glasses. "Ah, shorty here yo-..." she trailed off as my loud sobs caught her interest. peering over my shoulder she let out a massive gasp "MY BABY!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, I then stood with Petra still in my arms as I went to go wrap her body, Hanji already disappeared to somewhere I don't give a shit about whilst carrying a face full of tears.

I can't believe I had to do that! I let her go, I effectively watched her die for a second time! Now... now her father's approaching me... "Um... Hello corpral Levi Ackerman?" I simply nodded "Ah, great well I recently received a letter from you and my daughter not to long ago and you see well... " I knew he was saying, so he wanted to talk to me first, before Petra. "... I considered your request sir, and you have my full consent, however maybe in a years time or so, for she is still too young for marriage and has her whole life ahead of her, although you may propose to my daughter as soon as you like!" He stated so gleefully, how do I tell a father that his daughter has just been killed by a human who posses the ability of titan shifting!? especially if he's only just this second given me permission to marry Petra!? "Uh... sir if I may inquire my daughter's where-abouts?..."  "Mister Ral... I-I hate having to say so... but Petra has fallen amongst many other reluctant heroes such as herself. sh-she has served the past five years in the military well and I loved her so-" I stopped as my voice cracked and tears formed in my eyes "She was a true salvation, the only thing keeping me alive... It was my fault for not finding her in time!" I instantly climbed upon my horse and sped back towards HQ. Please hold me... heal me... "Petra, if anything happens, I will find you" That was a promise I broke, nothing can help me atone for that...

I held the blade up to my neck, "Petra... Y-You were  keeping me alive..." with those last words, a blooded sword lay deep with my skin adorned with a puddle of blood surrounding my body. I soon found myself in a white room, in front of me stood... Petra. I instantly knew where I was and now I can spend an eternity with Petra keeping me alive...
