HEY! It's Saturday again, and I am back with another chapter! I hope you like it. Dedication to Hatsuye-Heichou cause she is a very nice and cute and my editor.
Date: 19th January, 2016
Time: 18 : 09 hrsNicholas and Aaron were sitting together at the arena table. It was not that both the boys were the best of the best friends, or even friends as a matter of fact. It's just that the whole dining arena was crowded and filled and that was the only empty table.
"Don't even think that this is an attempt to befriend you" Nicholas said, hostility crystal-clear in his voice.
"Talk to the hand, Father Nicholas," Aaron replied, his eyebrows narrowing down at him.
Nicholas scowled at Aaron. The nickname 'Father Nicholas' was something he was called in his first year here. Apparently, Nicholas had a magical transformation go wrong, causing his hair to grow white and a white beard to grow from his chin. They said it made him look just like Father Nicholas, Father Christmas, Santa Claus or whatever you called that fat, old guy who delivers gifts on Christmas.
At the entrance of the dining arena, there was a girl with olive complexion and dark hair. She held a camera in her hand, and, holding it close to her eyes, she zoomed it in on people, trying to find something juicy. There she saw it: Nic and Aaron getting it on together. She thought to herself, They'd make such a beautiful married couple.
SNAP!
She clicked a photograph of them, staring into each other's eyes. The photograph made it seem that they were looking at each other with immense love and lust. She smirked. This would look so beautiful on the gossip pages of the school newspaper. I can see it now: 'Enemies to Lovers: the Big Tryst.'
Taking slow steps, she walked towards the table.
"Guess what! I found the perfect story for the assignment this week," she said, smiling cheekily.
"Huh? Kiara, what is it?" Nicholas asked, turning towards her, food chunks still in his mouth.
"Well, it's about two guys who hate each other a lot, but there are rumours that they are having trysts," Kiara said, with a look so innocent that it made you want to check for a halo on her head. She probably did have one.
Aaron snapped his face towards her. "Do you have any proof?"
Kiara took out her digital camera and displayed a picture of Aaron and Nic staring at each other. She smiled sweetly at them and asked, "Don't you think that these guys would make a really good couple?"
Aaron was the first one to recover, "You...." He fisted and unfisted his fists and stood up, but it was too late, Kiara was already running out of the dining arena. "...better delete that picture." And he ran behind her. Nicholas recovered soon after and ran after her as well.
By the time Aaron and Nicholas reached outside, Kiara was nowhere to be seen. "I'm going to check in the club room," Nicholas said, dashing eastwards. Aaron nodded to him and took his phone out, attempting to trace her location by her sim. The tracker showed she was on the very spot Aaron was standing. He looked around, but he saw nothing but trees and shrubs and grass. Wait... trees? She must be up there.
Kiara was panting up on the tree. Climbing up was never her forte. And somehow the branch under her feet seemed weak; it was trembling too much and Kiara feared it would break. From her hiding place, she looked out for Aaron and Nicholas. The shortie had gone eastwards, but Aaron was still here, doing something with his mobile. Shit! I forgot to switch off my mobile. She started to search for the mobile on her, holding the branch with only one hand now.
