"So let's go eat on the bleachers." Wow, Adam, great suggestion.
"Um, I don't know if you recall the minor argument your friend and I had earlier, but that's fine I'm sure this time Dean or I will just walk away with a freaking broken nose!" Man, how stupid can he be?
"That won't happen, besides I'll keep you and Dean separated." Great plan genius.
"Yeah well, good luck with that." His plan will never work.
"Okay, follow me." I know how to get to the bleachers doofus.
Adam apparently decided to continue his game of follow the idiot. Whenever I would catch up he would charge ahead ten feet then turn around to look at me with one of his famous smirks.
"Yo, dude, what took you so long." Oh great, we're here.
"Hey Ryan, what's up." Oh, so that is the stupid jock's name.
"Just chillin, who's the chick?" Wow, hold up, did he just call me a chick?
"The chick's name is April and can speak for herself." I snapped at the jock.
"Well, okay then. Nice to meet you April." Yeah, I'm gonna just keep glaring at you for awhile.
"Well, April, as you already know this is Ryan, that girl over there is Shelia and Vanessa is over there." Adam decided to point at each one making them look towards us.
Shelia was sitting at the bottom of the bleachers, she had gorgeous brown hair down to her shoulders and was wearing a deep red sundress. Vanessa was sitting at the top of the bleachers, she had bleach blond hair and was wearing shorts a little too short for my liking. Her shirt was also incredibly short and she wore a disgusted look on her face directed to none other than me. What did I do to piss her off?
"That's Ryder over there next to Dean and Ash is the guy next Shelia." Well, now I know everyone.
Ryder had dirty blond hair and was wearing what I like to call athletic sweats along with a nice fitting hoodie. Ash had black hair and an amazing smile, he was also wearing athletic sweats along with a nice t-shirt.
Oh no, Dean saw me and now he is walking over. You know now that I look around it appears that the rest of the groups has noticed me and they were all heading over here. I feel like a mouse in a open field with vultures swooping in.
"What's the newbie doing here?" Dean questioned.
"It's a long story." Adam sighed.
Really, I don't think it's that long. I just got detention and you lied about a project to get me out of it and now the only for both of us to not get in trouble is to eat lunch together. See it's not a long story.
"Well then should we continue our discussion from earlier." Dean asked with an evil glint in his eyes.
Not again, just give me a break jerk.
"Come on Dean, haven't you heard enough?" Adam to the rescue.
"No, I'm very curious to here why our little new girl is no longer living with her mommy." Really Dean? (Please take note of my annoyance)
"It's a long story." You better except that because I'm not saying anymore towards the matter.
"There seems to be a lot of long stories going on around here. You know what? I've got time lets at least get your story started." Come on Dean, just drop it.
"You don't know where to start do you? Well, let me start the story off then." Just shut up Dean. "When our little newbie here was thirteen her parents got divorced, that's why her dad has been living here four years without her. Here's the part that I don't quite understand, why did our little newbie move here now of all times? Why don't you fill us in on what happened April."
"Wow, look at the time, maybe some other time." Please just go with it.
"We've got plenty of time." Dean insisted.
Come on April, think. Brain don't fail me now, find a way out of this.
"We've actually have got a project we have to work on so we will see you guys later." Thank you, Adam.
The look on Dean's face is priceless. He looks completely dumbfounded. I quickly turned around to follow Adam, I didn't want to be there when Dean snaps back to reality. A hand around my wrist pulled me to a stop.
"Okay look, there is a don't touch April rule so hands off." I stated while turning around.
"I'd watch what you say to me. I don't know who you think you are, but around here you are nothing compared to me. So watch your step and stay away from Adam." I was now face to face with Vanessa.
"I don't know what your problem is, but let go. Ouch!" Her grip tightened and she dug her fake nails into my skin.
"My problem is you." She snapped digging her nails in deeper.
"April, everything okay!" Adam yelled running towards us.
Vanessa quickly removed her hand from my arm. I looked down to see that she had broken the skin where her nails were on my arm.
"Yeah." Vanessa quickly answered for me.
"Well, come on then, we've got to start working on that project." Adam said turning around.
Vanessa gave me one last glare then walked away. I ran to catch up with Adam who was only a little ways ahead of me.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, fine." Not.
Adam looked down at my arm to see a small amount of blood surfacing on the scratches from Vanessa's fake nails.
"What happened." Adam questioned grabbing my arm.
"Nothing, I just tripped that's all." Great story, April.
"Yeah, sure. So what really happened?" Ugh, just drop it.
"I tripped, that's all." I'm sticking to my story.
"Okay, if you say so." Yep.
"See look the scratches are already looking better." That was true they were almost starting to scab over.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about Dean by the way." Why do we have to talk about him out of all the people in the world.
"It's fine." It really isn't.
"I'm serious, whatever happened in your past isn't his business." He seems to think it is.
"It's fine really, I'm just not good at talking about things." True.
"I'm still sorry." Sure.
"Okay, well I'm gonna go get my books for my next class I'll see you later." Freedom.
"Okay, see you later." Finally free at last.
