1-My Name is Not Ace

Yes, guys, gals, and non-binary pals, my name is not Ace. It would be extremely fitting if it was, but alas, it is not.

My name is Ty.

1-Ty. Not short for Tyler, or Tyra, or Tyrone. Just Ty. It was gender neutral enough, and the name itself had always appealed to me from a young age.

2-Pronounced like ""tie."" Rhymes with pie. Simple, right?

3-I think it's simple enough, but getting the remaining thirteen-fourteenths of the people at school to call me a two letter, one syllable name is almost impossible. The names I don't want to be called, however, are much easier for them to shout at me when I walk through the halls. I've always got my good friend Casey, though. She's not even five feet tall, but she'll tear you to shreds, let me tell you. She walks with me to my classes and threatens to, and I quote "shove my [Casey's] foot so far up your [asshole's] ass you'll [asshole will] be tasting shit for a week." She's real fun at parties.

4-The fact that my current name and gender isn't on my birth certificate seems to puzzle most individuals. What I don't understand is that along with saying my name and gender at the time, it also said I was 7.5 pounds. Clearly, that's not the case at the moment.

Of course, it's not my birth name, but who gives a shit about birth names anyway? I mean, it's not like a baby pops out of a vagina and goes, "Hmm, what shall my name be?" Then they waltz over to the birth certificate, rip the pen out of their parent's hand and scribble their preferred name, crossing out what was already written. While they're at it, they'll cross of the gender as well and change it to something else.

Sometimes people tend to think that "gender-ing the baby right away" is a bad thing. I, personally, think it's perfectly okay. It's so the parents know how to take care of their children. Who gives a shit if the room is bright pink?

Folks, the reason I referred to myself as "ace" is because, quite frankly, that's what I am.

1-Asexual.

2-Agender. My preferred pronouns are they/them, if you care. My birth gender will remain unknown, for the time being.

3-Ace, for short.

However, my ace brain didn't want to go 100% ace and was like "Hey, Ty!!! Guess what??? You don't just swing both ways, you swing all the ways!!!" Although, I'm not pansexual. I'm what the kids call panromantic.

The prefix pan- means "all" in this sense, so simply replace the typical ending--sexual--with romantic. So I'm romantically attracted to all genders.

If someone's cute, they're cute.
