Chapter 16 Trip...

I stepped outside and into the carriage that the Earl was waiting in. We were headed to a small town but the name slipped my mind, her majesty gave us orders to look into that town.
"What's your name?" Wren said brightly to the Phantomhive chef.
"I'm Bard, this is Mey-rin and Finny." He said laying back shooting hoops of cigar smoke.
"I'm Wren this is Via and Yasoko." Said Wren.
"Can't believe we're going on vacation!" Said Finny. We'd now started on our way, I sat staring blankly up ahead of me.
"Lady Shini?" Ciel asked.
"Please take no offense to this if you have desire to answer but..." He said taking a moment to think up words.
"How did your parents pass?" He said warily. I was caught off guard.
"There was a fire at my manor 3 years ago and both my parents burned to death and I lost my eye sight." I said in a perfectly monotone voice. The Earl seemed extremely shocked by this cause his parents had died the same way.
"That was the same tragedy for me I'm sad to say..." He said sighing. I nodded before looking back outwards. We didn't make much small talk and it was fairly awkward as the servants cooed about vacation. This wasn't a 'vacation' really it was our assignment.

It'd been 5-6 hours and me and the Earl were bored outta our minds. We'd made it to a tiny village moments ago and were now headed to the mayors manor. Our cart came to a rough stop and the servants danced out of it, idiots... I stood up and Mioke opened the door and allowed both me and the Earl out. I could kill him on the trip... I could make it look like an angry villager did it. Something stopped me, maybe it wasn't stragegically possible? We headed into the manor and up long flights of stairs that were difficult for both me and the Earl to climb. We were at the door now ready to dispel the Queens worrys.
