This One Moment.

Valentine's day

Today was the day. No going back on plans. Zach was going to come out, and confess his love for Alaina, with a gift. Today was Valentine's Day,  and Zach has been nervous the past few weeks. Would Alaina reject his gift and love? Or would she feel the same way? Zach sighed. Zach got in his car and drove to Alaina's house. He parked his car in Alaina's driveway, and sat back in his seat. He wasn't quite sure he was ready yet. He glanced over at the small bouquet of flowers and picked them up holding them close to his chest. He wished himself luck and exited the car. As he looked at Alaina's house he saw the curtains pull back, and Alaina was looking out. She smiled and waved. She quickly ran to the door. Zach was at the front door, about to knock, when Alaina quickly swung open the door and practically pulled him in. "Zach what are you doing here!? Aren't you going to spend Valentine's day with Alyssa?!" She says She glances down at four beautiful osiria roses in Zach's hand. "Are those for Alyssa?! She'll love them.." She says drifting off. "Oh. Oh no." Zach nervously says. "This are for you..." Zach finishes. Alaina completely baffled, yet flattered. "Alaina.. See I like you. And I've liked you for a while now..." Zach says embarrassed. "I may even have more feeling than... Like.. And..." Zach incompletely says. "I think I love you..." Zach finishes. "Zach I'm flattered I really am but I have to ask about..." Alaina's words trailed off. "I left Alyssa..." Zach says. Zach took a hold of Alaina's hand before she could protest. "I had a feeling I could be happier with you.. I don't know if you even like me... But I told myself that you don't like me. That's why I was so afraid to tell you cause I don't know how you feel towards me.. I knew I liked you since the day I met you. You make me smile and laugh like no one else. When I see you laughing and smiling I get this feeling.. I can't even describe it. But all I know is that I can't deny anymore that I am hopelessly in love with my friend..." Zach finishes. Alaina looked down at her hands which were intertwined with his. "Zach..." Alaina says looking down at the floorboards. "I always pushed back my feelings for you cause of the same reasons.. I never knew you felt this way for me.." Alaina said. Her face flushed pure red. Alaina took a step forward closer to Zach. Staring into his eyes. "I think I'm in love with you also..." Alaina pulled Zach in for a kiss. They knew it was a start of something special...
