I listened intently to what Felix and the others had to say. When they finished, I was in a stunned silence. I tried to speak, but nothing came out.

"You don't need to process it all now; you'll have plenty of time for that later." Skye sighed. I nodded slowly, showing that I acknowledged her words.

"Are you alright?" Elijah asked me later that night. I nodded hesitantly. I hated not being able to tell him, but that was the one thing they made very clear: I wasn't to tell anyone.

"Just tired." I smiled. He didn't seem to believe me at first, but then he shrugged and returned to his studies. I think he was studying Zeus at that point. He had been studying him for a few days. Maybe he would be told all the secrets that had been stuffed inside me soon. We didn't speak again that night.

I dreamt of the tale that Felix, Sophia and Skye had told me.

I was in a beautiful field. The wind rushing through my silky hair. It seemed longer than I thought it was. A beautiful woman approached me.

"Now, my child, I give you the strength of a god. Use this gift wisely, young daughter." I realized that this woman was Athena, the goddess of wisdom, bravery and war, my godmother.

"But, why-"

"You needn't know why. You will be great, but only for what you choose to do." She spoke strongly, but also softly. I felt safe around her.

"Thank you." I said weakly. She smiled.

I woke up to Elijah shaking me. He seemed feverish.

"What the hell? What is wrong?"

"Fire!" He yelled pulling me out of our room after him.

"What? How? No fire is allowed here!" I yelled over the sounds of terrified shrieks. He shrugged. Once we were out, Skye did a head count. One of the younger kids, May, had been trapped. A few boys volunteered to help, but Felix told them no, that he would do it. I couldn't let him do it alone, so I followed him. The flames were hot against my skin, but I was agile enough to not get burned. I danced around the flames stealthily, following Felix, who walked straight through them. He was the godson of Hades, after all. Finally, we reached May's room. Felix knocked down the door, and I slipped in to grab May. She was unconscious. Felix nodded at me, thanking me for my help. We got her out just before the House exploded. A dozen kids, and several Councilors stood before it, taking in its beauty, and taking in what exactly the fire meant. Someone knew what Shadow House was, and they wanted to stop us.
