I teleported right in the middle of the street. As one of Lucifer's offspring( which I realize I haven't told you until now). I had hieghtened senses and reflexes, which I was using right then. Out of nowhere, a bullet zipped out at my neck . I ducked under it and sliced it out of the air. The shell fell to the ground, split unevenly into two, smoking slightly. It was the best I could do, even with my enhanced reactions. Oh, and this was also the part I'd started to regret not packing the bow and arrows. I could sense vaguely where the skeletons were, but I couldn't hit any of the targets, and I couldn't teleport behind them as I didn't know excactly where they were. So I resolved to the stupidest way ever. I chucked my sword at the nearest skeleton, which was behind the door of a big house. My sword cut through the wood like butter and slammed into the chest of one skeleton, I couldn't tell if I or the skeleton was more suprised at this. I ran and pulled my sword out of its disingerating chest. A skeleton appeared behind me, chopping at my shoulder . I twisted around and stabbed it clean through its chest. The sword steamed and absorbed its slowly melting essence. the street grew really quiet , and I realized I'd fallen in a trap, or so I thought. I went in the house slowly with my sword raised. I climbed a flight of elegantly designed stairs into the second floor. then I heard movement behind me and I spun around and lashed out with my sword and the dude I'd attempted to decapitate yelled out. I froze and stared at him. My sword , incidentally couldn't harm anyone who was pure mortal, as they weren't important enough to be killed. The dude must've been one of those because he too stopped and stared at me. "w-what are you doing in my parent's house? and why are you holding a baseball bat?" , Damn. A mortal who couldn't see through the mist. By the way, the mist is a mystic force that obscures their vision so the supernatural seems like what you'd find in normal modern everyday life.
"Well..... I'm just coming here to rob your house and get everything so it'd be fine if you just get out of here?" He just stared more. I rolled my eyes and punched him in the face. He flew backwards and landed in an unconscious heap in the side of the walls. Harsh I know, but I'd already have enough problems without him freaking out and causing more problems.
