A New Era

Yato and I had wordlessly started dating after that day. Now I was finally getting to spend time with him. I'd soon found out he was actually very clingy. I didn't mind the attention, though. I hadn't been this happy in centuries.

"Yuuukiiii~" My lover called, his voice echoing through the temple.

"Hm?" I turned around, wondering what Yato could be longing for now. He always wanted me by his side now. Even though I had my own things to do, I was more than happy to spend time with the god.

"I want snuggles!" He cooed, making a kitty face. I couldn't say no to Yato, not with that face. I walked over, sighing.

"You're especially adorable when you make that face." I laugh, taking a seat down next to him on the lavish temple furniture. Immediately, Yato wrapped his arms around me. I leaned against his chest, my cheeks a red hue. Two hearts beat as one. A new story had been forged from the darkness. A story of love.

"Yukine, can you promise me something?" Yato asked, kissing the top of my head.

"Anything in my control." I look up into his radiant blue eyes.

"Promise you won't leave me alone in this world. You're my happiness, and I can't loose you." Yato said, his grip on me tightening.

"As long as I have a breath in me, I'll stay with you."

We sat there in eachother's arms, two fates intertwined. An unbreakable bond between a god and Regalia had been formed, one that through any hardships would prevail. On that day, a new era had started for the two. The era that would last for ages to come.
