Christian pov

Flash back~~~~~~~~

" promise me that you will protect me no matter what. " that promise I made to her. I broke it, no shattered it to pieces. I slept in late the day my parents went on vacation. I woke up with them gone. No big deal I thought. I went into Natalie's room to find her crying. I sat down beside her. " Hey Matilda don't cry." she smiled at the nickname I have her when we first knew we where wolves. We were watching the movie Matilda so it kind of stuck. " Christian, I argued with mom and dad before they left." she looked ashamed. I was confused, Natalie never argued with our parents, like ever. Period. " Natalie what happened." She took a deep breath and said " they left cChristian I walked down stairs to them arguing about us." "I went to ask what was going on and I heard them say that they were coming for us." " I didn't understand what they meant." they must of known that she heard I thought. She continued, " so I walked down stairs fully and they looked at me with guilt." "mom said that they were leaving for good cuz we are a threat, well mostly me. she said I was special, and you will protect me." "I tried to talk but I just ended up screaming at them." she was now crying even harder. She sniffled and said, " they left us because we are dangerous Christian, they said you would protect me because they couldn't and wouldn't get hurt for me." I don't understand. I didn't do anything to harm them." "But now there gone and they told me to give you a note." I put it on your dresser" she sighed. She was clearly heart broken. I couldn't wrap what was happening around my head. They left us because Natalie is dangerous and they won't risk there life for her.

I left her there after i gave her a quick hug and a smile. I walked back to my room to find the letter.

As soon as I found it I ripped it open.

Dear Christian,

" We had to leave you and that " daughter". She is dangerous and we sure as hell don't want to die. She doesn't know what's happening. They are coming for her.

Protect her or don't we honestly don't care. She ripped this family apart. She is terrible a monster to the pack. she is the earth wolf.

According to legend the moon goddess created the elements and element protectors to cherish and protect those elements. The only catch is the original element protector has to die when another element protector is born.

So fire dies if water is born. Wind dies when earth is born. They come in pairs. So when wind dies a new earth and wind are born. Your grandmother was the wind. Natalie is responsible for her death and the insanity of your grandfather."

I looked at Natalie's door when I was done. She was an element protector. She killed my grandma and turned my grandpa insane. it made my anger boil. She is a murderer she shouldn't live. I can't kill her but I can make her life a living hell until she dies.

End of flash back

I can't believe how cruel I was to Natalie. She didn't know what she is. It wasn't her fault grandma died. It was the way of the element protectors. I broke a promise and I tortured her, thinking it was her fault.

How naive and stupid of me. She didn't deserve any of it. She was always sweet a kind, and when we beat her she wouldn't cry she took it with a straight face. It showed straight courage that only made me angrier.

I thought for a minute. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. The letter I read o do long ago said we where dangerous. then it said they are born in twos. So if Natalie is earth, I must be wind. Moon goddess what have I done.
