"I swear if you drop me, and I die, I'm coming back and I'm going to kill you." Maddalene threatened Damion, but she sounded terrified.

"Already dead, remember?" Damion smirked.

"Then I'll make you die a second time. Just don't drop me!"

"Chill out. I won't drop you." Damion said, seemingly trying to comfort Maddalene.

This had been going on since the four left for Arkansas. Maddalene was scared out of her mind and kept telling Damion to be careful, and feeling pity on her, Damion didn't argue.

On the other hand Verblassen was enjoying the night view and trying her hardest not to let her blush show. While Jack was just plain nervous not knowing if he should start a conversation with Verblassen or to just keep quite, but in the end he decided to say something.

"So I'm guessing from all the complaining and threatening that Maddalene is scared of heights."

"Yup, but I don't really see what's so scary. The night view of the city from up here is very pretty if you ask me." Verblassen said with a small smile on her lips. Despite her kind personality, she likes - maybe even loves - to tease people. Madalene in general. Height was always something she would tease her about too, but seeing how cozy Maddie and Damion were getting along she decided against it since she was pretty good at reading moods. It would be perfect if Maddie left out the threats and yelling though.

"I do have to agree that it's pretty." Jack said taking a glance himself. "Well, since we woke you up in the middle of the night do you want to take a nap? I'll wake you up when we get there and if anything happens."

"Thanks Jack, I think I will." Verblassen said yawning a little and snuggling up against Jack for warmth which caused Jack to blush.

Meanwhile, Maddalene was alternating between watching her twin sister and whining.

"Calm down! I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." Damion said quietly while a small blush appeared on his face. He just hoped Jack didn't hear him being nice to Maddalene, otherwise he'd never escape the teasing. "And if looking around bothers you, just close your eyes, or even better, just take a nap. Like I said, you don't have to worry about falling cause I've got you."

"O-okay. But when we get to Arkansas, I want to know where Mr. Jerk went." Maddalene mumbled and closed her eyes while Damion just smiled.

"And I want to know what happened to Ms. Sarcasm" he chuckled, but left her alone after that so she could sleep.

Unbeknownst to Damion, Verblassen heard the whole conversation. Things were getting quite interesting between the two, and Verblassen thought it was some good teasing material. She would use it later, but for now she let Jack's warmth envelope her and fell asleep.

After a long flight they finally arrived and landed on the roof top of the pop tart factory. The boys laid the girls down and put their necklaces back on to conceal their wings, and then proceeded to waking them.

"Please tell me we're on the ground." Maddalene mumbled, not opening her eyes. "If I open my eyes and I'm not on the ground I may puke."

"It looks like we're on the ground Maddy. You can open your eyes now." said Verblassen giggling a little.

"You better not be lying to tease me, Blassen." Maddalene said and slowly opened her eyes. "Thank goodness! I'm gonna hate going home though..." she sighed.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, for now, lets find a connection to Heimdallr or Thor." Damion said, looking away from Maddalene and focusing on Glücklich.
