chapter 17• SBY

Jessie's POV

We went to the building where we went last night. We had to climb three floors to get to the top. Curious why we need to go there I ask Ludwig.

"Why do we need to go to the principal's office? We didn't do anything wrong." Even though we did. Ludwig didn't speak but stopped at the red wooden doors. He looked at me first.

"You'll find out once you confront the principal." He said and slowly opening the two doors. When it was fully oppened he signalled us to go in.

We met a huge desk with a huge chair that has it's back infront of us. There's two sofas on on the left and one on the right of the desk. Lory and romano went to the left and me and janette sat on the right. There was a coffee table placed in between the two sofas.

"Please sit down." A deep voice has commanded and so we immediately sat down on. Only now I see that Lory is holding romanos hands and they are really close to each other. I glared at them but they didn't saw it instead i guess they are too scared of the principal that's why they are acting like this.

The chair turned around and revealed an old man that i didn't see for centuries.

"Lolo rome!" Lory said with happiness all written in her face. Grandpa rome smiled at her. Lory stood up and did the "mano po" to lolo rome. Of course me and janette joined in, because that would be disrespectful if we didn't do that to our dear lolo... well feliciano and romano's lolo but we still treat him like our own. After evrything is done lolo rome sat on his chair with a straight face on.

"So i suppose you want to know why you are here?" We all nodded except for romano who was just looking down at the floor. Lolo rome looked at him and said:

"Do you romano?" Romano's head shot up and replied "Si." Me janette and lory looked at each other.

"Well aside from your 'mission' last night, it's about having a country of the philippines." He said. Janette stood up to protest. She was very cunfused i may say.

"What do you mean!? You already have me, jessie, an-" jannete tried to protest but soon was cutted off by lolo rome.

" I said having A country of the philippines. So long story short..." Lolo rome looked at me very intently. "You have to fight for the position of being the country of the philippines. That means for each quarter we shall see your academic performances and those artsy stuff and PE class. A quarter lasts for 3 months." He said smirking.

" so one" he said pointing to janette.

"By" then to lory.

"One" then to me.

"You will get expelled from this school. The last one standing will be the country of the philippines. But don't worry! We will have you back to your life and your still gonna be immortal and will rule your islands." He said. Lory then stood up. She had an angered and a confused expression plastered on her face.

"We never agreed to this!? There's nothing in the contract that says we should play this stupid game of yours." Lory said. Lolo rome smirked at lory and rested His back on the chair.

"If you want... you can all be expelled right now." Lolo rome said. I dont wanna leave this school I want to learn new things here. I want to start a new life here. I just wanna get away from my past.

"Then fine t-" lory was cutted by me standing up. I turned my heels to the door and walked of the room. My head down. This was the only way to make my ates to understand that i want to be in this school.

"Jessie!" She said and was already running to me. Her screeching sneakers was heard all over the area.

"Jessie wait!" A voice approached me. She hold my shoulders and I haulted.

"Why did you leave all of a sudden?" She asked. I didn't answer. She went infront of me and looked at me.there was awkward silence for alittle while. Lory started to speak.

"So... you really wanna stay in this school?" I nodded. She sighed.

"I didn't thought you would agree to this... but... it turns out you really needed this thing." She said. I looked up at her.

"Starting tomorrow morning we're rivals." I said. She looked at me tears weld up in her brown eyes.

"I wont definitely be your rival. And I wont mess with your way." She said. "Besides I don't want to ruin your dreams. I dont want to hinder you from your future. Just know that I just want to be a good ate to you." She said and started to walk away. When she wasn't in sight my tears started to fall down from my eyes. I felt so sad. This is where my life starts where everything will become so hard.

It is true when they say "it's too late to change the past once you've done it." I wish i wont regret my decision.
