Lonely Angel
Chapter 8
Scott's POV
I felt my eyes turn a bright yellow color, my fangs elongating than usual human's, and claws slowly forming on the very edge of my fingertips. Nobody touches my best friend. Ever. A roar came out of my mouth, telling Jack to back off. He loudly screeched back at me. My legs ran until it reached its spot-in front of Stiles. Five insanely knife-edged claws came at me, but only to be stopped. I saw Zach's hand on his friend's shoulder. Jack's wings retreated to his back, his spine between. His fingernails went back to normal, and so did his eyes. He muttered an apology, but I wasn't quite so sure.
"What. The. Heck." Lydia was shaking, clearly not over the situation.
Jack didn't want to talk, so Zach did, "Sorry about that. Jack hasn't controlled his powers just yet."
"Why did he attack Stiles? We're on your side!" I shouted at him, exasperated.
"We know."
"Then why-" I was cut off by a sigh.
Zach began to explain, "We have crazy powers. And they can get out of control."
"Stiles is your friend! Why on earth would Jack want to kill him?"
"Angels are lonely. We don't have friends. Once we shift to Angel form, the only thing on our minds is to protect, to guard ourselves from any possible harm. That's why we're called Guardian Angels.
"I guess it's pretty stupid. But really, it's kind of sad. Wanting to live, but having no purpose. We even consider our allies as threats. Our true name is Guardian Angel, but people call us many different names. That's because we may even kill the one's we're supposed to guard. People call us killing machines, traitors, lonely Angels. Though, I guess we are all three. Even though there are thousands of Guardian Angels out there, I still feel lonely.
"Though, I think DeDe's by far the most isolated Angel there is. She has no family. Her mother died, she had to kill her father, her sister washed away by a freak wave, and brother burned at the stake. I can actually sense that she needed someone, but doesn't trust anyone. It's like falling down a never-ending pit of darkness, and it was the people closest to you that pushed you down.
So lonely. So, very lonely." Zach was staring out into space, probably daydreaming.
"She doesn't seem lonely." I raised an eyebrow at this comment made by Isaac, "I mean, she's so friendly and so easy to trust. You said she doesn't trust anyone."
"Yeah. That's part of her job. Acting. Lying, basically. But for a good cause." Jack snorted as Zach finished his sentence.
"Nothing that we do is for the greater good." Zach sighed.
Lydia, being a dear, decided to change the topic, "So, where's Destiny?"
"We don't know her exact location, but we know how to find her." He explained.
"Well?! Then get on with it!" Lydia practically shrieked.
Jack sighed, "It's very risky."
At the corner of my eye I saw Isaac getting so frustrated. And I can see why. The short amount of information the two were giving us were so useless. Get on to the important parts.
"Are you just going to sit around, while your friend is possibly dying?!" Isaac yelled on the top of his lungs, "For all we know she could be dead, and you are doing nothing!"
Zach got up, and clap his hands together, "Okay. We need something of Destiny's scent and..." he trailed off.
A few minutes later, we got her pen that Allison had used but forgot to return it back. The two boys' eyes glowed white for a second. Zach wings erupted from his spine, and two thin blue tails from his lower back. He let out a bloodcurdling scream and flew out of the window.
"Great. How are we going to follow him now? Right, we just need to pull our wings from our freaking backs and fly." Stiles sarcastically said. Jack rolled his eyes and raised his hand. A glow shimmered around our bodies and we started to levitate. What. He started to float too, and in a flash we were shooting of, trailing Zach behind.

We arrived in a mansion, rows of columns made out of marble were lined up, holding up the roof. The humungous doors were pure gold, outlined with silver. The floor was tiled and staircase never seemed to end. We reached the second floor and heard a yell. Our head shot toward the direction of the source of the sound and soon our legs were running. When we arrived in our destination, Destiny, was wearing a baby blue headband-crown with a diamond in the center. Her wrists were tied up tight, and her eyes puffy. She was barefoot against the cold floor and her clothes ripped. If the crown wasn't resting upon her head, she would be considered a typical way-of-when-you-find-someone-who-had-just-been-kidnapped. The Guardians gasped loudly, and cried, "Destiny, no!"
We were all-not including Destiny-looking at them weirdly.
"What wrong?" Isaac asked.
"DeDe, don't give it to Sowh." Jack said darkly.
"Sowh? Who's Sowh?" Stiles said confused. Frankly, I was too.
"Sowh is the enemy. Sowh is my fate, and my destruction." Destiny replied weakly. Way too weak.
"Yeah, 'cause we all know what that means." Count on Isaac to say something stupid during a serious situation.
"Be quite hell-creature." Jack shot at Isaac.
"Hell-creature?" I asked, eyebrows raised.
"Yes. Werewolves are creature that are considers shape shifters, no? And shape shifters come from the deepest pits of hell."
"That doesn't make any sense."
"Shape shifters are tricksters. Well according to a myth."
"What myth?"
"Long ago, Angels were highly respected because they could control they powers very easily, and that makes them powerful allies. Then, a shapeshifter, decided to ask them a favor. He did it in a form of their most trusted ally. They soon found out and got so angry that they banished every shape shifter down in hell. Because this happen they got out of control. They became power hungry and no longer able to control their abilities. And that's why it's so hard to control our powers now."
"But that's just a myth. It's not true." Isaac said.
"All myths are true." Destiny stepped in.
"But what about Angels? They're shape shifters too!" Isaac argued.
"No, we're categorized as holy. Because we're guardians."
"Well. Aren't we having a nice history lesson?" A sarcastic voice said from behind.
All of us looked toward the direction of the voice. The Angels looked liked their whole life is over. Which it's probably going to be.
"Sowh."
The End.
