Chapter 5

Destiny's POV

Energy blocking is by far the most efficient way of defeating someone easily. No one's ever heard of it because I invented it. Most Angels know about it now, but very few actually mastered the art. It's quite simple really. All you have to do is observe. Read your opponent. Look closely and you could see the energy flowing. Once you find it, you'll see certain points where the energy is being transferred to the pressure point from original source of the energy. When you spot it, you can use any finger, knuckle, whatever, and block the energy from flowing and your enemy will fall. If you strike the heart of where your opponent's energy, he/she might die. Quite simple.

The next day after I used energy blocking on Aiden, the twins have been throwing me dirty looks. I pretend to be intimidated by it, so they won't get suspicious. I walk down the empty halls of high school and got to Chemistry. Mr. Harrison was still 'missing' so we got a sub. I sat in my usual seat with Isaac and Stiles behind me. They started eying me, which was making me uncomfortable. Finally, I decided to turn my back toward the teacher and face their suspicious looks.

"What do you want?" I breathed out.

"Um," they started to fumble against they're stuff. Books were falling off the table, papers scattered, and pencil marks left everywhere. "Nothing. What makes you think we want something?" Stiles asked.

"The fact that you've been I eying me since I arrived in this classroom."

"Maybe we thought you were attractive and decided to stare at you." Stiles shrugged. Isaac and I gave him, by far, the most disgusted/weirded-out look of all time.

I heard Isaac whisper to Stiles ear, "Dude, no."

I sigh once more and and ask them once more why they were eying me. I feared I knew the answer already.

Stiles was about to open his mouth to talk, but the bell rang and we left class for lunch.

"Look, we wanna know how you defeated Aiden like that. From what I've encountered - and I've faced a lot - defeating one of the twins, wasn't as easy." Isaac came to me at my locker. I slammed it shut and felt my changing eyes rolling.
"Listen, Isaac, I've told you once and I don't like to repeat myself." I stated.

His eyes narrowed and thought gritted teeth he said, "I know you told me. I wanted to know how."

"Why does this matter so much to you? I knocked him down, and now you wouldn't have to face him anymore." This, of course, was a lie. Isaac's was going to face the twins so many more times.

"Um," Isaac began, "I don't think so Destiny. We're going to face him a hell of a lot more times. And most times, they won't be pretty."

I saw his fist clench and I knew energy was flowing throughout his arm. I was tempted to block it, but then it would be paralyzed about 1-2 hours. Depends on how hard I hit him.

I head over to the cafeteria and sat down at my usual spot. Next to 'the crew'. Isaac shot me a dirty look and sat down. It was awkward because nobody was talking but Allison decided to start a conversation.

"So, I hear that you're pretty good at combat. I am too. You know, can't be daddy's helpless girl." She laughed forcefully. I smiled and continued eating.

"What moves do you have?" She asked. Dang. Allison is getting on my nerves.

"I can't really demonstrate it, we're at school."

"No, no, we can just talk about them."

"Um, I guess I can say I'm a third-degree black belt at karate. And I can shoot guns and arrows and all that stuff."

"Really? I'm pretty good with an arrow myself. Any other cool tricks?"

"I do know this one trick..." This perked everybody's attention.

"Care to share?" She asked sweetly.

"Nah, it's really dangerous." I told her. Every one was looking at me now.

"Well, it can't be that dangerous. It's now like you've killed a person or anything!" She laughed.

"No, but this technique could." I looked at them seriously. It wasn't the truth. I murdered thousands of people. Or living creatures I must say, not exactly human.

She stared at me in shock and disbelief. "Really? Wow. Who taught you that? I learned everything I know from my dad, aunt and grandfather, but they never taught me how to kill."

Sure Allison. I totally believe you. (Note the sarcasm.)

"I learned it from an old friend. His name was Nate." It's lie after lie. "But he passed away."

"I'm sorry." Allison put up the most sincere face.

"It's okay. He was a jerk."
