I bet you guys are confused about what this is, right? I'm not surprised; not many people have heard of Earthbound. The first two games of the trilogy are on Wii U Virtual Console and the third game has a fan translation, but it's still a pretty obscure JRPG series. If it wasn't for Earthbound, things like Undertale wouldn't even exist. Yet I see a bunch of Undertale stories on Wattpad, and very little of Earthbound. I don't see much appreciation for Earthbound anywhere.
I want to change that.
I'm hoping that a story like this will help spread the word about Earthbound, even if it's just a little bit. I've tried to be as original as possible with the plot, main characters, locations, antagonists et cetera. This isn't an AU or a retelling of an already existing game or anything like that: this is my own original and new plot.
To be honest, I've had this idea for a while now, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do it. But, here you are, reading it. Some of you guys might not be interested in something like this, but I still suggest you give this a chance, or do some research on the series. Who knows: your curiosity might be piqued.
I can't say that this is everyone's cup of tea (you might not care about this at all) but I still want to try and make this series more well known. Although...
