Michaels POV:

I knew the moment she was dragged to the metal pole with the look of understanding and sadness she would be just like my sister. Her face was hollow as if she hadn't eaten in weeks, her clothes were worn and loose on her fragile body. My heart twisted, why of all people did Jared feel the need to treat her like scum. The sexist asshole doesn't deserve to be the leader of this pack.

My sister Chevall was a kind spirit, only wanting people to understand one another, and to not judge the weaklings. She was so gentle and friendly, and would make a great mother. but Jared stole that away from her by sending her out to the "rouges" that he planted in the forest to eliminate Chevall. His own mate, he put on a hell of a show for the pack members explaining that she was "attacked" by rouges and killed, fake tears dripped down his face. I wanted to destroy him, strip him of all honour and respect, and all I had to do was exploit his assassination of my sister, but all the evidence was washed away with the spring rains. I went to the lycans for advise and guidance but Teren Vight (the leader of the Lycans) disagreed and shunned me for disrespecting my alpha. When I returned from London, England where the lycans reside, I confronted Jared announcing to the high ranking members during a pack meeting of what Jared had done. They laughed, all but Jared who stared at me with fear the entire meeting asking me to stay after the meeting was finished.

**** Flashback ****

"How did you find out?" He spoke through his teeth.

His balls.

"Well it was all to convenient for you. How could you! She was a wonderful woman, and would be a great mother. Were you afraid of her powers? huh! did you think she would over shine you? Well now everybody is better than you since you were stripped of your gifts. Rejections a bitch isn't it?" I barked at him shaking in anger.

"She would have ruined me and the pack. She is-was too soft. Not fit for a Luna."

His eyes were hard, but I knew he didn't believe this.

"I was well aware of what would happen to my gifts of strength when I rejected her. I don't regret it" Lie.

It couldn't take it anymore, my arm flung out and connected with his gut, he doubled over. Taking the opening I brought my knee up to his head smashing his jaw, falling over he grabbed my shirt pulling me down with him. He slipped a knife out of his boot and plunged it into my hip. I let out a roar of pain and quickly took the knife out of his trembling hands and put it to his neck. blood trickling from his nose and blending into the red ombré carpet.

"My brothers and I will build a cabin in the south end of the trees and live there. We will still be apart of the pack until we find more people and a wolf of alpha blood. We will be out of your hair and you out of ours. Deal?" I said more of a demand, pressing the knife harder into his neck.

"D-dea-deal" he choked out.

"Good" a sly smile creeped on my face as I let off of him, leaving his mangled body on the floor.

The knife nearly hit a main artery but remained as a flesh wound. My Brothers (not by blood) Lewis and Dante spent day and night creating the cabin made to hold more than 20 people as a starter for a pack that we would collect over the years. Jared told pack members that we got a new house and that we were still apart of the pack. It was honestly depressing how many woman babied him for his wounds even though he said he was just attacked by a buck. Since we were in the outskirts of Vancouver Canada they were quite common.

**** Flashback over ****

I just knew Tehaley was special.

We all sat at the dining table poking our food as Dante broke the silence.

"Why hasn't she came out yet? It's been like a week or something."

"Because," Lewis replied "She's only here so she won't have to face Jared. She doesn't want to be apart of any pack."

"And how do you know this?" Dante questioned

"I just do."

Dante crossed his arms and leaned back into his hand crafted chair.

"Did you use another sexual reference on her again? I told yo-"

"No! She had a nightmare one night so I tried to calm her and she just got even more upset, Okay?" Lewi rushed out.

Dante and I just stared at him baffled. Why the hell did he think that was a good idea?

"You nimrod! We want her to join us not freak her out, I thought I made that clear." I said gesturing to Dante.

"I just wanted to help her, she's just so... so... tiny"

Lewis said quietly.

We both knew that he lost his parents to a group of wolves when he lived in Ireland, and moved to Canada in search of freedom.

"I don't know about you but I feel the need to protect her. No one else seems to have even tried." his head dropped a little just staring at the food Dante made meaning it was shit on a plate.

"Dante scared her first now you. Goddamn it men! So Lewis you can charm the panties off any girl you want but when it comes to not terrifying a girl you end up scarring her for life!" I said flabbergasted.

Dante chuckled as Lewi just fiddled with his thumbs.

"Well I don't wanna lose her trust but her dream was sorta a flashback that she had. She was talking in her sleep so I know the truth of her parents." He said confidently.

Everybody knew that some girl with a messed up past was coming to the pack so a lot of rumours have been floating around. The most bizarre one was that she was pregnant with a baby that was a vampire but since vampires are only found in Russia and werewolves had a treaty with them to keep breeding within your species
