It's crazy to think that I've been at Camp Half-Blood for almost two months now. Thanks to my lessons with Annabeth I can now speak fluent Ancient Greek and through training with Percy I can hold my own against almost all the other demigods. My brother's really taken me under his wing and I get on well with his friends from both camps, Greek and Roman. I haven't forgotten my oldest friend though. Damian and I spend most of our spare time chilling together and chatting about anything except the monsters. It helps so much to feel almost normal, but I do miss my mum...Nat snap out of it! Stop stalling! I chide myself. Chiron told me to come to the Big House as soon as possible. I hurry over and when I get there I see nine chairs in a semicircle and Chiron standing in front. Four of the seats are already taken by Rachel Dare, Annabeth, Piper McLean and Leo Valdez. I take the fifth chair. "We're just waiting for Percy to come back with the others from Camp Jupiter," Chiron explains. I wonder why we are all here, it couldn't be a quest, could it? Percy walks in with Jason Grace, Frank Zhang and Hazel Levesque and I realise that apart from Rachel and I the others are the Seven from the last Great Prophecy. "Now that everyone's here we can begin," Chiron says with a smile, "Rachel has had another prophecy and it is important she shares it with you. So go ahead Rachel." He nods towards her with his last words and she stands up. Rachel begins to recite the prophecy.
"The Seven plus one must learn
With those of a different source of power,
Two enemies become one,
Like sister like brother
Waters will rise,
On two matching marks the battle will hinge
In the end they will prevail or perish."The Oracle sits back down and Chiron continues. "It is clear to us that you eight must answer the call. I know that Natalie is much younger but she is the only Daughter of Poseidon we have and is meant to play a major role. We do not yet understand the matching marks but it does not do well to dwell on such things as prophecies can have double meanings, as most of you know first hand. I must now explain the second line. Wizards do exist. They live in their own communities like ours and their children study at wizarding schools. You will be going to such a school. You will be going to Hogwarts."
Hogwarts! I, Natalie Locket, will be going to Hogwarts! I always hoped that it was and that I'd get my letter next year but I actually get to go. But how can we learn magic? We're not witches and wizards. "Hecate has given you her blessing so you can perform magic. You should befriend the wizards and leave it as long as you can before revealing yourselves as demigods. Particularly befriend the Golden Trio as they are the best chance you have in the battle." Chiron added, "You will be sailing to London tomorrow so you should go pack. Oh and Natalie, please leave your books at home, that is of vital importance."
We funnel out of the Big House and Percy asks about my books. "They are supposed to be fiction but they are about Hogwarts and the adventures of the Golden Trio; Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. I can't wait to meet them," my voice rises and I have to resist the urge to squeal. No. I am not going to go all fangirl in front of my brother. "So I guess you know a load about them then," he says, looking at me slightly oddly. "Yeah but what if it isn't enough, I should go and read them again." I can't help but worry even though I know them like the back of my hand. "Nope. You are not going to read them again tonight Nat. Those are seven big books on your shelf and we need to pack for leaving before sunup." Ugh, why is he being such a dad? I guess I'll have to go through them in my head instead and anyway it's not like I really have anything to pack except a spare change of clothes and some snacks.
My things are neatly stowed in my school bag and it's getting late. Percy is still sitting on his bunk surrounded by all his things but nothing is packed, typical boy. "So much for telling me we have no time, you've done nothing." I roll my eyes dramatically. "Um yeah I probably should, I'll just go ask Annie." I roll my eyes again. If Annabeth was here she'd judo flip him for calling her Annie... I should ask her to teach me it could come in handy. "Please don't I don't need two people who can kick my ass," Percy moans. Oops did I say that out loud. My brother laughs, I must have said that as well. I collapse backwards onto my bunk and as Percy goes to fetch his girlfriend I wonder if I can just disappear into my duvet.
Sorry this is kinda short compared to he others but I'll try and update soon.
Hugs and butterfly kisses
