The Wolf Girl
Chapter Seven
I don't know how I did it, but after a while of resting on Brandon's wolf's back I managed to gain my strength back and jump in front of both him and Ethan without shifting.
And I somehow managed to find my way into a backyard owned by someone I'd like to call mine.
I was heaving when I racked my fist on the back screen door. My chest rose and fell heavily as Brandon's and Ethan's wolves shifted uncomfortably with their paws inside the dirt.
I smelled him before I heard him come downstairs. His scent filled my nose and surrounded me like a blanket. I would be happy to fall out conscientiousness then and there.
I saw his lean muscular frame head to the front door and groaned from the ache in my legs. I had ran too hard. I racked my fists on the screen again and almost leaned onto it.
"Emmett." I could barely call out. My tongue was dry, and my head was killing me. "Emmett."
"Madison?"
I smiled as my name rolled off his tongue. He opened the screen door and stared at me happily but confused. More confused than anything.
I stepped back, almost stumbling.
"Madison." Emmett says, catching my elbow. He pauses, feeling a light spark between our touching skin I supposed. "What're you doing h-"
His eyes shift over my shoulder to my brothers and almost laugh as his eyes go wide with fright.
"Holy shit." He curses and I squint my eyes at him as he pulls me behind him, half inside his house and half out. I rested my head on his shoulder and inhaled.
"I don't like it when you curse."
Emmett gives me a 'Are you kidding me right now?' look and shivers. In fear and in desire. I smiled lightly.
"Oh them." I glance over at my brothers. "They're with me."
-&-
"Emmett." I groan, my hands clutching the soft pillow that held the lingering smell of my mate. "Where are you?"
A laugh echoed inside the room, but I refused to let my eyes open yet. My lips set into a pout, wishing it was Emmett in the room and not my shadowing brothers.
"God, look at her." Brandon chuckles. "She's such a dork."
I furrow my brows, wanting the word 'asshole' to slip out my mouth.
There's a creak and a heavy heart thumping and that's when I know Emmett's in the room.
My hands reach out for him before my voice does.
"She's been calling for you man." Ethan teases. "Going to do something 'bout it?"
I hear a shove and I worry than they hurt Emmett but its him who speaks.
"Shut up." He mutters, but a warm hand lands on my waist. My shirt was crumpled up by my chest so his palm was touching skin. The door creaks again and I'm lifted from the presence of my brothers. They left us alone.
Thank goodness.
"Madison." Emmett calls, running circles on my burning skin with his thumb. "Madison."
"Emmett." I call back, my voice barely over a whisper. My hand finds his and I bathe in the pleasure his warmth brings me.
"Madison." He says again and I smile at his humor. My eyes open to his green ones and I bite my lip.
