Ayumi hadn't come to school for two days.
This really worried Haibara and Conan too. He was flipping through the pages of the Black Bullet manga.

He set the book down and looked over towards Haibara's desk.

She had her face turned to the rain. Her manga,Toradora,laid abandoned on her desk.

She rarely visited him after what happened. Because of that,Conan goes to her house almost everyday so he can see her. They sometimes stay at the living room,but after a few minutes they head up to her room or her basement and stay there for hours.

Creak

All heads turned around. There was Ayumi,all nice in her uniform and carrying her school bag. She had a smile on her face and took her seat in front of Haibara's.

Both Conan and Haibara knew that smile was fake. She was hiding her true emotion. It was hard to see,but actually her face was stained with tears.

She had been crying the previous night and in the morning. She was too nervous to go back to school. She didn't want to see Haibara and Conan kissing,being a couple.

All day she had avoided Conan and Haibara. Haibara tried to talk to her,but she would always avoid her and act as she couldn't hear her. Conan didn't try to get near her.

She now walked silently to her house. Looking down at the floor. Memories of Valentine's Day coming back.

She was so focus on her thoughts that she didn't notice a man was actually stalking her.

Hakase's house

Haibara looked at her computer screen. She was scrolling through Tumblr,bored.

The door slowly opened,she ignored it,it closed. No movement.

Two arms wrapped around her petite waist and someone's chin rested on her shoulder.

"What took you so long?"she quietly asked.

"Murder case.",Conan replied,"What are you doing down here,my love?"

Haibara almost snickered. "Just researching."

"About what, there's no antidote."

She didn't respond.

"Ai?"

"Ayumi must hate me now....."

"..............."

"She won't talk to me...."

"......she'll get over it soon Ai......"

Haibara didn't respond.
She took a breath and finally responded:

"I just hope everything will be normal soon."

"Come on let's go..",Conan spoke quietly as he grabbed hold of her hand.

Ayumi laid in her bed in the darkness.

It wasn't night yet,but Ayumi didn't want to open the windows. She didn't want the kids next door to see her in her bad state and then gossip to everyone.

She looked at her pink alarm clock by her bed.

4:50

Only 10 minutes till her mom calls for her to eat dinner. They were having curry tonight. She stopped in her thoughts and looked at the picture that was above the clock.

It was a photo that they took when it was Conan's 8th birthday. The good ol times....They had all organized the party,everyone bought a gift,everyone but Haibara. Ayumi had thought at that time she had done that on purpose,but now finding about their relationship....it could be possible she gave him his present after everyone left.
