Don't Scare Me Like That!

"I'm pregnant."

It took Conan about 5 seconds to recap what Haibara had said. When he heard what she actually said,he fell off his bed where he and her were just sitting. He started panicking.How could this happen. Even he doesn't remeber touching her at all!!!!

"I'm just kidding"

It took him about a minute to take in what she just said now since his mind was filled on how it happened and what to do.

"Wait,what did you say."

Haibara looked at him,it seemed like she was about to burst with laughter,"I said I was just kidding,baka."

Conan let out a breath pf relief. If Ran had learned about this she would've killed him.

"Don't scare me like that!!",he exclaimed as he got on the bed again and gave Haibara a peck on the cheek.

"I'm lucky Ran isn't here. If you blurted out that I impregnate you,even if you were joking,Ran would think it's true and maybe you know kill me with her karate."

"She may still use her karate on you"

"Why?Don't tell me you're actually!

"No,I'm not pregnant. But there's a rumor around school that you impregnate me and that I'm expecting your child"

Conan's ears couldn't believe what they were hearing. Kids these days!!They don't have any proof at all!!

"How did you learn about those rumours?"

"Well the other day the nurse called for me and wanted me to take a pregnancy test. She saw a negative and she acted all relieved. I asked her and she told me the rumours.",Haibara said.

They both remained in silence,waiting for the other to speak.

This silence was taking too long,so Haibara decided to break it.

"So what did you want to tell me."

Conan looked down and put on a serious face.

"Can you stand near the door.",he said quietly.
Haibara could sense the seriousness in his eyes and tone of voice. She hopped off the bed and slowly walked to the door.

Conan hopped off too,and followed her. He stood in front of her,but what amazed her the most was seeing him kneel on one leg and take out a small red box.

He now stared straight at her with those electrifying cobalt blue eyes that always sent chills to her spine and those eyes would always hypnotize her.

She could see love,confidence,and a bit of nervousness in his eyes.

'Kudo-kun....'

"Ai.......Will you marry me?"

Haibara didn't respond.

She stared at him for what seemed like hours,but was just a few seconds. At last she fell to his level and placed her lips on his.

Conan was taken back,though he and her had kissed a dozen of times,but he gradually closes his eyes. He wraps his hands around her waist. Haibara slowly pushes him and pins him to the floor,so she could now be on top of him. This kiss was slow and passionate. It lasted for about two minutes until Haibara parted away slowly. She rested her head on his chest.

"So what's your answer?"Conan asked as he slowly stroked her back.

"Baka,I would say yes,but remember you're not Shinichi,and it'll take six years till we can get marry.",Haibara replied softly.

"So your answer is yes?"
Haibara nods.

"But why did you ask me this question?"she asked, confused.
