That night was filled with my ignoring calls from Harry, texts from Harry, calls from Liam, and texts from Liam. Actually, the next few days consisted of just that. I was a mess around my flat. I stayed in hoodies and sweats and barely moved from the couch. I know now that I shouldn’t have become so involved with someone so quickly. Let alone the fact that I have barely lived here more than two months. My head was whirlwind and I turned my phone off nearly four hours ago. I didn’t even know if I would ever turn it on again.

Thursday rolled around and it was nearly two in the afternoon when someone knocked on my door. It made me jump and I felt my heart speed up slightly. What if it was Harry? I didn’t think he’d show up, but then again nothing’s ever stopped him before. Whoever it was knocked again and I stood up. My hand was shaking as I turned the knob and opened the door.

“Thank God,” Liam said, shaking his head and taking a deep breath. “You haven’t answered your phone in four days.” I wanted to close the door on him, knowing it was just Harry sending him over.

“Yeah, great to see you bye,” I nearly got the door closed when he blocked it. “Liam, please.” I was on the verge of tears for the third time today.

“I’m not here because of him,” he said, stepping inside. I wrapped my arms around his torso and began sobbing. “It’s going to be okay.” His hand rubbed up and down my back and his sweater was soft against my face.

Liam had me calmed down enough to go sit on the couch while he made tea. I leaned my head on the edge of the back of the couch and watched him move around my kitchen. He must have opened every cabinet and drawer while he was in there, but he never gave up on making the tea.

“How do you take it?” he asked, turning to face me. I stared unintentionally at him for a few moments before blinking back to life.

“Uh,” my voice was hoarse. “No sugar, just crème please.” He turned back to the kitchen and I turned around on the couch. Liam appeared with two mugs a moment later. “Thank you.”

“Don’t worry about it,” he smiled and sipped his tea. I had to admit, I did feel better now that someone was here with me and I wasn’t left alone with my thoughts. “You know Harry didn’t send me over here.”

“Huh?” he sat his mug on down on a coaster.

“I mean, yeah he told me he found the note and he didn’t know why all of a sudden you were gone,” he paused to look at me. “But I’m not worried about him. I called and texted you nonstop, sorry about that by the way, because I was worried about you.”

Knowing Liam was here on his own behalf and not Harry’s made the nervousness I felt disappear.

“You know you can tell me anything,” he said. I watched his hand land on my knee and rub it softly.

“Harry had me run to the store before he took Parker home,” I said quietly. “Cassadee was there and she made me follow her to the bathroom and then she told me her and Harry still slept together.” By the time the words were out of my mouth, tears were streaking my cheeks. Liam sighed and pulled me into his embrace.

“Fucking asshole,” he murmured. I closed my eyes and kept my arms around him. “I think we should go see him. He’s at the studio right now.”
