Flashback*
Ice cold chills raced up my body triggering the hot tears to cascade down my face leaving a burning sensation in its wake, as i examined his cold limp body in my arms, thunderous sobs started to rake within me. The deadly screams of sirens along with my cries that pierced through my ears just moments ago ceased to exist; realizing that Isaac is dead and its all my fault caused me to gradually fade away from existence.
"He's gone...and it's all my fault"

Present:
Its been four years and I just can't seem to escape that nightmare, the look on his face as he took his last breath still haunts me, oh how I wish it were me instead, he did not deserve that! " Nola! Nola ?!" I blinked back the tears as I came to the recognition that my close friend, Anna, was calling my name."Yes?" I asked, "are you okay?" She questioned looking worried. "I'm fine, I was just uh...thinking" I answered, she gave me an understanding nod "let me guess, you don't want to talk about it, right ?" She accused. "Anna, we've been over this" I stated as an involuntary sigh escaped my lips, "I know, I know, forget it" she breathed, I hate that I haven't told her about what happened, I want to, I just honestly prefer not to, it's too hard. Its wrong, I know, we've been friends for about two years now, and she really played a big part in helping me get over Isaac's death yet I still can't tell her what really occurred. "Anna, I -" I started before she cut me of, "it's fine, really, so are you excited for next week?!" She squealed changing the subject, referring to my twenty second birthday. Oh on the contrary. "Yea, Ofc!" I replied in the same voice she had, making my sarcasm evident more than necessary. Couldn't freaking wait.
