Once again, I woke up to my fathers screeching truck.
"Gooooooooooood moorning Sooooooooph" my dad cooed, eyes glued to the road. "Oh, good morning dad, what are we doing today?" I rubbed my eyes, tightening the jacket around me. "Uhh, house hunting and shopping" My eyes widened, "Wait, we're going shopping?!" I started bouncing around in my seat. "Yeah, while you slept last night, I looked at some houses in our price range," He cleared his throat. "That's okay with you right?" I was still a bit caught up with the fact that we're going shopping. "What are we shopping for, exactly." We never went shopping, this was strange. We pulled into the mall parking lot, he looked at me with a wide smile, "School. I called the local public school, I still have to sign some things, but after everything is said and done, you start in three weeks tops." I was silent for the walk to the mall entrance. But that silence ended when we passed some stores I found appealing. "I have no idea what stores girls your age like, I haven't gone shopping in a mall since your mom was here" He cleared his throat to insist we changed the topic.
"What about there?" I said pointing to a store called Aéropostale, I eyed a pastel pink to white ombre backpack, also cute tank tops, shorts and jeans. Me and my dad finished at the counter and kept walking down the stretch of stores. I halted, eyeing a hair salon. "Can I?"I asked, my dad looked from the salon to me. "Do what? Dye your hair some crazy color?" little did he know, that's what I had in mind. My smile widened, "actually, yes." I had a color in mind, and i was going to get it. "Well, alright. I'll be outside, please no crazy colors." My dad passed me some cash and I bolted into the hair salon. I went with a color that reminded me of a mermaid, I loved it.
When I exited the hair salon, my dad was asleep on the bench, i shook him and stood there, smiling ear to ear. "Hello hon- Oh my lord. That's something isn't it?" I nodded, face turning a bit red. "I like it, they said to go easy on the conditioner, but that's about it." I picked up the Aero bags taking a few steps before realizing my dad wasn't following me. "You coming or not?" I petitioned. He yawned, "I think I'll sit here for a bit, take my card, try to spend only 50, you hear me?" I nodded, placed the bags next to my dad and ran to another store.
I ended up getting some vans, more tank tops, and more shorts, some jeans, also a flower crown. I skipped down the runway of stores until I found my dad, snoring outside the Victoria's Secret, which I also got some things from. I shook him once more, "Daaaaaaaaaad, I'm done, I only went over by a couple bucks, thanks though dad." He yawned once more and wiped his eyes, "Okay, let's hit the road." He tossed his keys up in the air, attempting to catch them in the other hand, they fell to the floor and he muttered a curse. "You know what, I'll drive, you seem really tired" I patted him on the back and he passed me the keys.

The drive wasn't all that bad, but when I started to feel a bit tired myself I decided to park in a semi-empty parking lot of a small diner. And before I knew it, I was fast asleep too.
