Mika's P.O.V:
I see her wait outside the door, and after a few seconds, she comes through, a cross look coming over her face.
"Thank you," I said, smiling as I took the tablets with the water, "sit down."
She looked down at me.
"Why is this on?" she asked, looking very upset and just a bit scary.
"Oh, I just thought it might lighten the mood," I replied, innocently.
She walked over as Overrated changed to Stuck In The Middle. She paused.
"This was Lauren's favourite song," she said quietly.
Gotcha.
This isn't something I do regularly at all, by the way.
But the reason for doing so, I have to admit, was purely selfish.
I wanted to see all of those pictures again, remember Lauren, because I didn't know her well enough before. She cared nothing about dying to see me again, and I was just oblivious.
Ten minutes later, she stands on a chair and takes a big box down from on top of a high cupboard. Bringing it into the sitting room, she sets it on the floor, and looks at me.
"Why was it on top of the cupboard?" I asked.
"Because I didn't want to see it," she replied, tightly, "go on then. Open it."
"Don't you want to?"
"No. I can't. You do it."
I knelt down on the floor, and took her hand as I opened the box.
It was filled to the top with photos of me, some of me and the girls, and the occasional printed out conversation we'd had over the internet. And signed shirts, and posters.
I looked over at Jenna and she was crying as she stared into the box.
I took up a photo of them both in their merchandise before a show and held it out to her.
"It's ok," I told her reassuringly, "don't stop crying. You need to."
She looked up at me and took the photo, still clutching onto my hand.
This will take a while, I thought, but it really has to be done.
