Mika's P.O.V:

She finished her story, and I looked across at her, into the whirlpool of emotions showing in her eyes.

"I can understand your anger," I said eventually, "I've missed you two. I noticed that day that you never showed up, and everytime I come to London, I look out for you, my biggest fans... why did you send me letters?" I asked, remembering some of the harsher terms.

I receive those kinds of letters on a regular basis, that just comes with being popular, and, obviously, unpopular.

They had upset me though, as I could never understand why one of my biggest and probably most favoured fans started to hate me so much.

She looked a bit ashamed after I'd asked the question.

"You were the reason," she replied, "and I guess I was angry. You reminded me of everything we did together, and I didn't want to be reminded. So I blamed you."

I looked at her for a moment as she sipped her coffee.

"Did it work?" I asked softly, "Blaming me, I mean."

"No," she replied eventually, after a long silence. "Not at all. I still can't get her back, and I'm still going to miss her. I finding it difficult to like you again though." she added, bluntly.

"Yeah," I replied, "you two were my favourites, you know? You were always here for me. Whatever went on in the papers, in the news, in those cheap magazines... " I felt emotion come up, forming a lump in my throat. I swallowed, trying to get rid of it. "I guess that's why I missed you so much," I carried on, "because when you stopped coming, I knew something bad would have happened. And the very worst did."
