Scarlett's POV-
"RRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGG!" My alarm clock roared in my ears.
I quickly shut it off not trying to wake anyone up. I got into some athletic shorts and a tee shirt for my usual morning run. I threw my hair up into a cute messy bun, and left the house.
It was a nice morning the sun was coming up and the birds were chirping. I ran around the block with my music playing for about twenty minutes until I saw a familiar body shape ahead of me. It was Carter he was doing the same as me running around the block. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself.
I ran up beside him when he didn't expect it. His face at first was surprised then it turned into a smile.
"Hey Bright eyes." Carter said with a smirk.
It made me laugh because no one ever called me that, but I always got compliments on my eyes because they were a light cornflower blue.
"Hey Lover Boy." I shot back.
"Oh I see how it is! I'll race you to that big tree over there." He replied pointing to a tree in the distance.
I ran as fast as I could to the tree and almost beat him, but ended up tripping last minute on a rock. I started dying laughing while Carter was running around me shouting I beat you. It was the most fun I had in a while. All I could think about was how I wanted to feel this way everyday. How I wanted to be with him everyday. To hug him, to love him, and to call him mine. I know it's cheesy but it's true. All I ever could ask for in a guy was him.
I snapped out of my daze, and got up off the ground.
"I've got to get back to my house to get ready." I stated with a sad face.
"Me too. I'll see you in school Bright Eyes." Carter shouted as I walked away.
"See you in school Lover Boy!" I shouted back turning around with a smirk.
I ran back home, and got ready. I decided I wanted to look good today so I grabbed my outfit which consisted of a white halter top, light washed high waisted shorts, a red white and blue flannel, and some white converse. I braided my hair into a fishtail, and did natural makeup with a nude lipstick.
I ate a quick breakfast and ran to school. My Grandma was going to go volunteer early in the morning so I didn't see her.
I got to school just in time and waited under a tree for Hannah under the tree we usually meet under. It took forever for her to get to school, but somehow she made it on time.
"SO anything interesting happen this weekend. I feel like I rarely saw you." She said with a sad expression.
"Nothin'" I teased smiling ear to ear.
"DETAILS DETAILS! Is it about Aaron?" Hannah pushed for answers.
"No but I'll tell you everything at lunch." I stated smiling.
"No fair!" She claimed.
I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help but laugh. I could tell today would be great.
We walked into school as the bell rang, but me being clumsy I bumped into someone. I opened my eyes to be met with a tall muscular build. I looked up and there he was the one and only Carter. I couldn't help but smile and laugh. I feel like I've been doing that all weekend.
"Watch where you're going Bright Eyes." Carter teased.
His friends chuckled and so did I. Hannah was starring in shock at me.
"Okay whatever you say Lover Boy." I shot back.
"OOOOOOO YOU JUST GOT ROASTED!" His friend Miles yelled.
