"NANAAAAAAAAOOOOOO"
Shunsui sang. I sighed, not again.
"Oh where could my little Nanao-chan be?"
I rolled my eyes, such a drama queen. Shunsui bursted through the door of our shared office, arms open wide anticipating a hug, that for the record, i would NEVER give. His face dropped in disappointment, a frown prominent on his face.
" Oh Nanao-chan, why do you treat me so?"
I almost let a smirk past my annoyed face, almost. Shunsui walked around to where i was sitting at my desk. He sat on the corner with his arms crossed.
" I was wondering if you would like to come to rangiku's birthday party, its at some bar in the 70th district."
I looked at him with disbelief very clear on my face.
"No."
Shunsui looked taken aback. Then his face shifted into mock hurt when he placed his hand over his heart.
"But how could I go without my princess?"
I gave him a flat look.
" One, I am not your princess & two, I have a lot of work to do Shunsui, YOUR work."
He smiled & I blushed.
"come on Nanao, just this once, please."
I felt my chest constrict a little. He really wants me to come doesnt he.... maybe I could go just this once, you know, to loosen up? Hell I wasn't even to sure my self, but what the hell, why not. I sighed & gave in.
"Alright Shunsui. I'll go."
He perked up then jumped off the desk. He reached his hand out to me offering me help up. Even from such a little action my cheeks turned scarlet, damn him. I pretended to push up my glasses to hide my blush & swatted his hand away. I stood on my own brushing past him. When I was almost out the door he took my wrist, making me face him.
" Nanao, thank you."
He paused, mulling over his words. Then he smirked.
" I would be more than honored to bring such a beautiful woman as my date"
He tipped his hat & left the room. I was stunned. My face was as red as it can get. D-Did that just happen!?
Time skip- before the party.
I stood in front of my mirror wearing a dark blue cocktail dress. I took a deep breath.
It will be fine Nanao. its just a party.... don't think of it as anything. Shunsui doesn't want...
My thoughts got interrupted by my doorbell wringing. I took one more deep breath, making sure everything was perfect, I walked to the door.
There stood Shunsui, hat less & in a black dress shirt & jeans. Wow....he looks ravishing. He cleared his throat & I snapped out if my thoughts. He chuckles & steps forward to put his hand on my waist.
"You look absolutely stunning."
He smiles & tucks some of my loose hair behind my ear. I look up at him, eyes wide, cheeks scarlet. Then he speaks.
"I know I'm your captain... but I couldn't help but fall in love with you."
My jaw dropped slightly, he smiles, puts his thumb under my chin, then leans in.
IS HE GOING TO KISS ME!? As I was having my internal battle, I didn't notice him getting closer until his lips met mine.
The kiss was long & full of our passion that was pent up over the years. He pulled away & I was breathless.
"W-wow"
He smiled & took my hand.
"Let's go shall we?"
