Karariri awoke groggily and wiped at her eyes. She glared at the pager that was screaming for her to rush to the hospital, and waking up her partner.

"Do those things have to be so loud?" he groaned and pulled a pillow over his face.

"Do you know who I am?" she laughed a bit, leaning over and kissing his neck. He looked up at her and smirked.

"The girl that slept through the tsunami?" he teased, rolling over onto his side. Karariri laughed and stood up finally, grabbing her purse and leaving in her pajamas. She hopped in her car and set her shoes to the side, then drove towards the hospital. Upon arrival, she ran inside and changed quickly into her scrubs and comfortable athletic shoes.

"What do we got?" she demanded as she sipped her coffee. Kyouya looked over at her with a ghostly expression. Karariri arched an eyebrow and studied the expression.

"My father..." he began, trailing off. Karariri balled her fists at the memory of that man. That man that forced her to leave Kyouya after discovering she couldn't have children. That man that threatened to take away the company from his son if he didn't choose another bride. That monster that ruined her life. Karariri placed a hand on his shoulder and looked up at him.

"Kyouya... You can tell me" she whispered. He cleared his throat and began to speak again.

"My father... had a... heart attack... and your attending is tied up in a surgery." he replied, looking down and her and grabbing her shoulders. "Karariri. I promised I'd never ask anything of you again but is there any way you could step in for him-"

"No." she said sternly.

"What do you mean no?" he shouted, trembling with anger.

"I can't do anything here I am not qualified enough to do this. I am simply a resident, I am not the head of cardio thoracic surgery" she reminded, wiping off spilled coffee.

"Karariri please! I know what I did yesterday was wrong I knew you were capable of taking care of that patient then. You're his only hope now! How can you do this?" he choked, dropping to his knees and holding her hands. "Please. I don't beg but please. I'm not ready to inherit the company I haven't learned enough from him. If you ever loved me you'd at least try"

Karariri sighed and licked her dry lips. "And if he dies? Even after I've done all I can?" she asked coldly.

"Then I'll deal with it then at least you tried to help him" he begged. Karariri nodded and turned to the scrub nurse. "lead me to the OR" she ordered, following her through the maze of hallways.

"Hey Riri do you have any shampoo?" Hitomi asked as she entered her bathroom. She opened the curtain to find a man standing there taking a shower where her friend should have been. They both screamed and fell backwards, Hitomi ran out of the restroom and closed the door.

"I am so sorry Shun I did not mean to intrude I should've known it wasn't Riri there was no singing! I'll buy you breakfast, would that make up for this? I don't know what to even say in my defense" she stammered.

"No I'd prefer lunch" he replied. "I'm pretty hot huh?"

"You're... Not my type" she laughed and left the room. Tamaki sat at the table smiling at her.

"What shall we do today my dearest" he asked as he nibbled away at cereal.  Hitomi shrugged and poured herself a glass of juice, sitting across from him.

"We could do something with the twins for once" she suggested.

"They are busy designing" Tamaki reminded. "I have a photo shoot today if you'd like to come. I could always use the company"
