Chapter five

Alex's pov:

The dinner ended perfectly my parents finally got to meet the girl I always tell them about and I finally got to kiss Paige.

I didn't know how I was going to stop her boyfriend from hurting her but if I ever see another bruise on her delicate skin I swear I'm going to put him 6 feet under.

As of right now I'm driving a sleeping Paige back home since it's now around 11:30 and we had school tomorrow I was worried on how she will react when she sees what I've done, I hope she likes it.

I'm talking about the surprise part for her birthday, I've been keeping this for a while,
I mean I've been planing this with my parents and hers, I've even talked to them about the whole Jay thing and the me thing  her parents said they would rather her to be with me and be safe than be with him and in constant fear of death.

My parents and I both agreed while heartedly.
So as I turned into her driveway I saw her parents pacing the living room form the window. When I was done staring I got out of the car and went to the passenger side door to get Paige, she groaned and began to stir in her sleep.

I stopped my movements and waited for her to cuddle back up to my chest, when she was comfortable I started the walk to her front door when we got there I took hold of Paige and went to grab my keys to unlock her door.

After successfully getting into the house  I went to the living room so her parents could see she was all right, they nodded quickly and I headed up the stair to her room, it was the very last door on the right.

I set her down and quickly changed her into some pjs and tucked her under her huge mountain of blankets. Then I made my way down stairs.

"Alex where has she been" her dad asked me
" she was having dinner and talking with my parents after the game, but I'm so sorry" I said to them I knew they wanted to know every thing that happens with jay but I don't think they know what I know now.

"Alex what happened?" Her dad asked in a dangerously low voice

"She-she told me everything " so then after much explaining and telling them about the day of the football game.

By the time I was done talking to them Mrs.pines was in tears wrapped up in her husbands arms while he sat there void of any emotion then her turned to me and said

"I know this isn't your fault but you need to fix this and end that relationship right now I cannot let this go on any further do you understand Romanova."

I knew then and there how dead serious this man was so I told him I'd do everything in my power to fix this and to save their daughter the got up shook hands and left.

It was about 1am by the time I got home only to be met with my father sitting in the living room obviously waiting for me

"You didn't have to wait you know that right dad?"
"Yeah I know but I knew you were going to tell them and I know your going to need a plan so I've made a few arrangements for you to meet with a friend of mine detective Jameson tomorrow morning" he said to me

" wow thank you so much dad I appreciate everything you've done and I love you" I told him. "I love you to Alex now go get some sleep ok you look tired"

So I dragged myself up stairs to my bedroom to get some boxers and and t-shirt and a towel, once I had those in my hand I went to the door on the right of my room that connected to a bathroom, I sat my stuff on the counter and looked at myself in the mirror and examined my face only when I got up to my eyes you could see the pain I tried to hide but there are times like this where it decides to make an appearance and I knew exactly why.

But I decided to look away and start my shower and waited for it to warm up, once the shower was where I liked it I hopped in and started to wash my myself.

When I was done and dressed I went back to my room and grabbed my phone and turned in some music when the song 7 years by Lucas graham came on, that it reminded me of Paige

But by the time the song was half over I was asleep.

ALEXS DREAM;
We just won state. That's all I could think that was until I heard a blood curdling scream come from the locker rooms I ran from the empty field to the locker rooms until the screaming was right in my ear but once I got there the screaming stopped and there in the middle of the room was Paige.
  She had this evil smile on her face, she started towards me but as she got right in my face she turned in to jay and before I could react his fist slammed into my stomach then his knee came up to my face, as he grabbed my hair and pulled me up I spit the metallic blood that was in my mouth onto his face.

  He just smiled and when he started talking it sounds just like Paige.
"Why'd you do that Alex don't you love me"
It said
"Your not Paige" I said with my rage building
"Why do you say that I'm right in front of you"
The next thing I knew he had pulled a gun from behind him and shot me".;

"WAKE UP!!!!"
