part:8 the first shiver

CHAPTER-7A&B

I was sitting in the warm blanket on dadu's bed eating dry fruits, he was telling me stories of his childhood and then he told about dad's childhood too,he also told me about manik and his attitude that had both love and care too,I was so overwhelmed,

2 months had already passed and It has been 4 days since manik had gone to USA and they were suppose come after two days... Everything around me looked boring,I had spent much quality time with dadu and now one thing was clear that he is my well wisher.And about manik I was feeling good from his side.I had thought that this time when he'll come back I'll at least not miss behave.

It was night I thought of taking a warm shower,it was so soothing in that cold weather,i finished and  came back to the room as I forgot to take my clothes along with me,I wrapped my body with the towel ,I went upto the closet ,I was about to take my clothes when I heard the knob of the door rotating

"Is time kon hoga..dadu so gai or chachi bhi" I thought

And next what I saw just surprised me to the core...I thought I was dreaming

"Manik"I merely whispered and thats when he looked at me,

Suddenly his gaze changed as he looked at me from the top to the bottom and then I realised that I was standing in the towel only

I was so embarrassed,I could see him looking at me shamelessly ..the water droplets from my hair were roaming on my neck and hiding inside the towel...

"Manik tum kab aey..tumto do din k bad anei walei they na manii.." I started blabbering only to be cut in between as suddenly the lights got off

"Yy..yee.. Light ko kia hua" I stammered

Everybody  has a weak point and I have one too,and mine was that I was afraid of complete darkness.

"I don't know ..I think power cut hogya..werna light tou nhi jaty yaha"manik replied

"Manik ..manik please light on kero" i said with a heavy heart

"Kia hogya hei light he gai hena .koi toufan to nhi aia" he replied plainly

"Manik please" I started sobbing

"Nan..nandini kia hua..why are you crying" I heard him saying

"Acha wait mein phone ki torch on kerta hu" he said

I was still sobbing,

"Oh no...mere tou battery finish hei..umm...tumhara mobile kaha hei"he asked

"I don't know ..mene bed per rakha tha" I replied as I didn't remember

I heard his foot steps, he couldn't find mine either,I was sniffing

"Okay nandini you relax abhi kaka generator chalatei hei" he said

He came near me,and held my hand

"Oh God nandini you are shivering" he said I could sense him worried ,for a moment I forgot everything.

He gently touched my bare arm and it gave me jitters,
