The Accident

"LET ME SEE HIM!" Papyrus yelled as Alphys grabbed his arm.

"No! Undyne needs to focus on him!" She shouted sternly. Papyrus turned and stared at her furiously.

"You're the one who needs to focus! You almost killed him!" He argues. Guilt washed over her, but she turned it into aggression.

"It was an accident ok!? It's not my fault a pile of chopped wood was nearby where we sparred!" She screamed offensively. Papyrus squinted his eyes angrily and yanked his arm out of her grasp. He kicked Undyne's locked door open and it flew open with ease. He ran inside as Alphys chased after him. He stopped short, staring at the sight in front of him. Undyne fell off her chair and was staring back at him nervously. But she wasn't who Papyrus was looking at. He was looking at Sans, who was lying unconsciously on an operating table. He was covered in splinters and scratches with a huge bruise on top of his head. He was alive, but running on fumes. Papyrus didn't even notice Undyne stand up.

"P-Papyrus... I uh... W-was just about to heal him! But... M-my healing isn't advanced enough for his injuries..." She stuttered anxiously as she tapped her fingers on her clipboard. Papyrus didn't show any signs of him listening to her. He just walked up to Sans and knelt down. His breathing was short and raspy. His soul shone through his bandana slightly, meaning it was tough at work pumping magic through his nonexistent veins, barely keeping him alive. Papyrus took a deep breath and placed his hand on his brothers soul. An orange aura begins to grow, surrounding Sans' soul in bright sparks of magic. Papyrus closed his eyes tightly, whispering,

"C'mon bro... Wake up..." Alphys and Undyne watched intently, amazed by Papyrus' magic. They've never seen him use any, other than to teleport places. The aura grew larger, getting brighter and brighter and emitting a slight warmth. The bruise embedded on Sans' skull slowly shrinks away, showing no signs it was there. His soul gained it's normal strong glow and his magic capacity is back to normal. Papyrus removed his hand from his brothers chest slowly, letting his own magic drift away. He, Alphys, and Undyne watched. Waiting... After a few minutes, Sans' hand twitched. His eyes slowly drifted open and his pupils glowed with life. He turned his head and looked at Papyrus.

"...Pap...?" He mustered. Papyrus waited no longer and wrapped his arms around his brother tightly. Their souls exchange warmth, reminding Papyrus that his brother is safe.

"D... Don't... EVER scare me like again." He whispered relievedly. Sans smiled and hugged his loving brother back.

"Mwahahahah! Well look what we have here!" Sans cackles while standing up. Papyrus stands firmly, horrified by what he's seeing. His own brother is turning into a monster. He pants in panic, with his mind racing in thoughts. Sans cracks his knuckles and neck. "Looks like free EXP." he chuckles. He motions his hand forward and the blasters shoot out extremely strong magic. Papyrus dashes to the left expertly. He's memorized all his brothers attacks. But with one delayed reaction... He only has one HP. He'd be a goner for sure. Sans laughs. "Man, it's fun to watch you run! Let's see if you can dodge THIS!" Blue circles begin forming underneath Papyrus' feet. He reacts quickly and jumps. Blue tinted bones shoot out under the ground right afterward, reaching high then going back into the ground. He refuses to fight back. He's never going to hurt Sans. The overload only lasts a few minutes... He just have to survive for that long. "I'm not loosing you again Sans..." He says between breaths. Sans continues to laugh hysterically as he summones a line of bones with far to reach platforms. The real battle truly begins.
