CHAPTER 7

Sunday morning.

My mum tried to wake me up this morning at what seemed to be 8am to follow her and buy meat from the market. NO to the WAY.

"Oya Oya Oya, Vanessa wake up and follow me I do not want to be in the middle of traffic this morning"

"..." I pretended I couldn't hear her and carried on sleeping thinking it will make her move off me and ask the other three creatures in this house.

"If you try this nonsense with me and not answer you go see the slap I go give you" She said now standing in front of my room.

"I have a headache I don't want to go ask Stacey"

"My friend she's still sleeping, wake up" she was now moving the covers off me and slapping my legs.

'Well that's what I was doing too before you came and started shouting out my name' I thought to myself; I get violated by my mum everyday of my life, after I let her eat my jollof yesterday this is how she repays me.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH" 

9.30 and the market was packed with different cultured people. My mum was stopping at every shop picking seasonings, vegetables and meat; I was just on my phone, but there was no one really to talk to because a normal human being is still asleep at 9.30am on a Sunday (unless they are going church)!

My mum carried on filling up the trolley with various meats and feeding my hands with shopping bags at a certain point I had to put my phone in my pocket.

When shopping for meat was done, she tried to make conversation as if my face says 'Please starts conversation' "So BF, was it boyfriend or best friend?"

"Mum please I'm tired, leave me alone"

She hissed her teeth and as if my hands were not full enough she went to buy YAM!! Two HEAVY YAMS. "There's no space in my bags anymore where should I put it?" She looked at me as if I was stupid. "PUT IT ON MY HEAD SHA, there's plenty of space there abi? FIT it in your bag my friend, or ask BF to come and carry am. Nonsense" Seriously... Never again.

We got home at around 11am, my arms were gone! I went upstairs to my room and threw myself to bed. No point sleeping anymore took out my phone and answered my messages.

Rachael Hey babe what you doing today?

Alissa Boredommmmm. Should we link? Revise for Chemistry exam Tuesday. Wooop! Last exam then school finished.

Matthew Hey, you alright?

I replied to Rachael saying we should go Alissa's to revise for our last exam and told Alissa I'll be coming hers soon. Then started having a conversation with Matthew.

Me Yeah babe I'm good wbu? Sorry I missed your call I was meat-shopping with my mum kmft.

Matthew kmt & gonna take Gabrielle to park then going to my friend's house wbu?

Me Revising at Alissa's. Last exam so I might aswell put in #100

Matthew Yeah babe do that; I might be around her ends anyway. I'll call you later on in the day yeah

Me Yeah bye

I got up and went downstairs to magically see my sisters are now awake. I rolled my eyes and told my mum I was going to revise at Alissa's.
