Chapter 7:Study Session

As I laid there on the floor, I froze watching Tiger lily falling the pot smashing across the floor. My in sides caved in.

"Lily." I mumbled waking up.

I ran downstairs to Tiger lily, making sure she was okay.

"Fuego?" Aqua yawned come the top of the stairs"This is a first, you're up before me."

"Yeah the first and last, I'm tired."

I'm zoning in and out of Mr. Belwick's class, thinking about the last few dreams I've been having lately. The shadow dream, where I'm thrown into the fire; the second one when Lily falls; the man who rescued me, but keeps turning into- Tyler Johnson. And lastly the one when I'm kissing Tyler Johnson, and liking it. My mind is racing with questions only my parents, or distant family members can answer, but since my parents are gone and our family shunned us, me and my sisters are on our own.

I was so deep in thought I didn't even hear Mr. Belwick call on me.

"Ms. Joesph, the lesson is on World War 1, NOT starring into space!"

"Yes, Mr. Belwick." I kept my head in the textbook the rest of the class

Zoning out wasn't new to me, but it was for Krystal. I looked across the lunchroom at her, all shaken up and jumpy. She didn't even eat or talk to her friends, I've never seen her so upset before.

"Hey Feugo," Tyler greeted me in Earth science

"Yes Johnson?"

"Is it okay if we just jump right into b-studying after school at your house?"

What was he about to say before? I thought.

"Um, Aqua's my ride home, I have to stay after."

"Then I'll take you home."

Your turn that voice said to me. But remember Ian, the aggressive ex coming to get his stuff. Say no to Tyler.

"I don't know."

He took my hand, and held it, not with force, but some other kind of emotion. And I swear I felt a jolt of electricity go through me to my chest.

"Please, if I don't pass I'm on the bench the first game."

Don't do it ! I'm ordering you not to, listen to me very clearly. Don't do it!

"Sure." I agreed

Why do I even bother with you?

He smiled, and kissed my hand. I shuddered.

"Thank you." he said

I nodded, unable to find my voice.

After the bell rung I waited in the hall for Tyler, when A.J walked up to me.

"Hey Fuego, you coming to the field right?" she asked

"Um, no actually, Johnson's taking me home."

"Tyler Johnson?" she smirked "The same one you've been having dreams about, the one you wanna kiss."

"Stop thinking like that, I'm tutoring him."

She nodded.

"Okay, but one more thing. When you kiss him, lean your head to the right for a better angle." she took off down the hall

"Really A.J?!"

"It's a fact!" she screamed out

Tyler walked up next to me.

"You ready?"

"Yeah." I nodded

Other than me directing Tyler to my house, the ride was pretty silent.
