"How was the date?" 'Chelle asked me at school.

"How do you know about that?" I asked her

"Girl please, it's all over school: it's on phones, the school website, newspaper, everything."

I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, Fuego" Jennifer from my math class came up to me "I heard you and Tyler hit it off. I just wanna say, you should have dumped Ian a long time ago. I mean now that we know that you can actually get someone like Tyler Johnson, being a simple no one like yourself." She sassed

"Get away from me Jen, now."

She flashed a quick smile and walked off.

"See I told you, it's all over the school." Michelle said once again

"Is nothing private?"

She shook her head. I looked down the hall and saw Ian put something in my locker, as soon as he spotted me coming he ran around the corner.

"What was that about?" Michelle wondered

"I have no idea."

I opened my locker and a note fell out, I picked it up and unfolded it:

Fuego,

I'm so very sorry for being so aggressive towards you, I didn't mean it. I've never told you this before, but my parents abandoned me, forcing my aunt to raise me, and she didn't have the best taste in men. But after a while I got so use to it that I thought that was the only way to have the one you love stay with you... I was wrong; I never should have done those things to you. I just couldn't bare to lose you, my one true love.

You will always have my heart,

Ian

p.s. tell Tyler to take care of your heart, for I couldn't

I turned to Michelle, who was reading over my shoulder.

"So he's gone? For good?" she asked

I shrugged, and turned to see Tyler walking my way. I pushed the paper to Michelle.

"Eat it." I whispered

"What?"

"Eat it, Tyler's coming."

Quickly she stuffed the note in her mouth, her eyes popped open a bit.

"He just wrote this note." She muffled "I feel the ink on my tongue."

Tyler came up to us, his friends not to far behind him.

"Hey." He smiled

"Hi." I smiled back

"So I wanted to know if you would sit with me at lunch today."

I looked past his shoulder, at his friends, all guys might I add. Then I looked back at 'Chelle, making weird faces.

"Could Michelle sit with us too?" I asked

He looked at her then back at me.

"Sure, there's always room for more." He said

"Great then I'll see you at lunch."

He nodded and drifted back to his gang of friends. I turned back to Michelle.

"Isn't this great?"

She coughed out the note.

"Perfect." She gave me a daggered look

Even though I had to stay after school with Aqua the cheer-things, I really didn't care. The only thing I would be thinking of would be Tyler....and that note.
