SUBARU'S P.O.V.

'I will always be here for you.'

But where are you now?

'Whenever you need someone, I will be by your side no matter what.'

I need you now, but you are no where to be found.

'Never will I leave you in this god forsaken world all alone.'

But in the end, you left me like everyone else.

You tilt your head to rest on the cold, hard wall that you were supporting yourself with. One knee was brought up to your chest, an arm resting over it, as the other one lay limply on the carpet covered floor next to the other cloth covered leg.

The full moon had its rays of light adore the dark hallway, it being the only source of light. These were the nights that you would go out hunting for food, to fulfill your thirst for blood. But you didn't want to. You didn't want to hurt anyone. To make them die so pathetically. He wanted to stop, he really did. But he never could.
Until you came along.

Today was the full moon. The dreaded night your brothers will go out to hunt humans to drain them of their blood, only to fulfill their thirst.

„Subaru, you coming with us?" Ayato asked as he made his way to the front door, the other four waiting for him outside. That was how they do it. The brothers always met at the front of the mansion, deciding a time limit to how long they can hunt. Everyone of them going their own path in the dead of night and not coming back until the sun peeked over the horizon.

„No. Go on without me." Your body lay on the velvet couch that adored the living room, arm draped over your eyes to block out the light from the chandelier that was hanging high up on the ceiling.

„You're going to starve yourself like this. Consider eating something. And don't be dead when we get back." Ayato spoke halfheartedly. He closed the door behind him, leaving you alone in the enormous mansion.

You sighed, getting up and in to a sitting position, your white hair falling over you sleepy eyes. Arms supporting you from behind. A grumbling sound was heard from your stomach, wanting to be fed.

Ignoring it, you stood up and started making your way to the garden. The place you felt the most peaceful. You took care of the different colored roses that adored the big garden. Watering them frequently, and trimming them. Why? Because no one else would. And why did you care for flowers that would weather away sooner or later. Because of your mother.

And tho every time you thought about her, you would feel an enormous wave of sadness, the flowers reminded you of her. Every single one did. You wanted to crush them under your feet, wanting to see them die away. But you just couldn't. As much as you wanted to, it would feel like killing your own mother. Even when she never loved you, you did. And you understand why she hated you. She had a reason to. Heck, you even hated yourself.

You came to the path that led to the garden, taking long strides wanting to get there faster. But soon ceased your pace, crimson eyes laying on a figure that was crouching by one of the rose bushes. Caressing the delicate flower. Covered by a dark cloak and a hood covering the head of the person.

You narrowed your eyes. Quickly shifted behind the person that dared invaded your property, your pale hand grasping the throat of the person in front of him, pulling it down to the ground. By the smell, it was human. Your other hand grasped the hood of the cloak, pulling it off harshly.
