Chapter 18 - Twilight

Yo dolls! 

I'm back for a third day running!!! Damn this girl is on a roll.....ahah :) nahh i just want to as much updating as i can before i go back to school on thursday yayyyy not. 

how many ofyou guys are already in school, i read so many authors an i am in disbelief at how they manage to balance their wattpads with their life, it amazes me actually!

but thanks for the rating i thinks its like #231 in Vampire and thats really kinda fucking amazing!

I kind of want to do a smutty chapter in the next ones so who wants that comment if you do!

Zayn’s POV:

I tossed and turned that night, my mind resonating with the last words that Louis had uttered before he had run from house and into the ferocious storm.  I flipped over to look at the glow in the dark numbers on my clock. It was 7 in the evening, I had been in my room all day, avoiding the others and ignoring the heartfelt apologies that they threw my way. I didn’t need them, all I needed was the ability to turn back time, but that was impossible even by our standards. I had this gaping hole in my chest that was only able to be filled by Louis and now he couldn’t even bear to be near me.

I swung my legs off my bed and looked out my open window, the cool breeze was coming through and as I leaned across the window sill and looked into the setting sun, at the oranges and pinks in the sky reminding me of the end of time, it was the start of new beginnings and the ends of dreams. I knew just by looking at the flickering stars in the sky just what I had to do, I knew that whatever I did nothing was ever going to be made right if I sat here in my bedroom moping about it all, I just had to let the chips fall where they may and tread carefully.

I pulled on my jeans and grabbed a random t-shirt and pulled on my leather jacket before taking the steps two at a time and grabbed my keys from the hanger and turned to leave when a figure leaning against the door frame stopped m e dead in my tracks. “Going somewhere?” Autumn raised her eyebrows questioningly; I shrugged noncommittally and tried to shove past her but she placed her palm on my chest, forcing me to a standstill.

“Be careful Zayn”

I nodded and she looked at me with wide eyes but sighed and let me past, I shot her a grin and made my way to Louis’ house.  I was grinning cheerfully all the way there, whistling cheerfully to myself and I was nearly there when I heard a rustle in the bushes behind me and I stopped and pivoted on the spot and walked over to the bushes and pulled out Harry and Autumn by the scruffs of their necks. Harry pulled out of my grip and tugged Autumn away from me. “Care to explain why you are here?” I asked calmly but on the inside I was seething. Autumn shrugged a little and looked up at me, avoiding my eyes.

“Oh, we were just checking out the neighbourhood” she said looking around, gesturing at the houses and plants. I snorted and she looked at me, “Cut the bullshit Autumn, you were following me and I know it!” I said angrily poking her hard, Harry stepped in-between us and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder and opened his mouth to say something when movement from Louis’ house distracted him and we watched as Louis opened the garden gate and walked out heading down the road towards the school.

Autumn looked at me worriedly, her face mirroring mine and without a word, I shrugged Harrys hand off my shoulder and we slowly and quietly followed Louis. He led us through a maze of back streets and alleys until we were at the back of the school field. A few nervous glances around Louis gritted his teeth and scaled the fence like it was nothing and he effortlessly hit the other side, crouched low looking through the grass and trees towards something, no rather someone.

He was here with the vampire that tried to kill him that very first night I met him.

I moved forwards but Harry grabbed my shirt, holding me in my spot. “There’s more than one vampire here tonight Zee, and there’s something else that I can’t pick up on, something else dark” he explained. I huffed and looked at him straight in the eye, “As much as I would like to care, my boyfriend is about to walk into that trap of Vampires and I can’t let him do that” Autumn was nodding beside me all through my statement and grabbing my hand we too scaled the fence and dropped down onto the grass the other side. Harry huffed but followed us too, not wanting to be the reason anything happened and as we walked closer we could hear the conversation that Louis and the vampire were having.

“Look, I’m here Liam what do you want?” Louis said earnestly looking around nervously, as if he was expecting something bad to happen. This Liam vampire opened his mouth to say something but then was caught as he looked directly at the patch of grass where Autumn was hiding, in a second Liam had darted over to grab her and was back where he was standing.

Louis’ mouth dropped opened as he blinked to see if he had just imagined Liam moving that fast, but every time that he opened his eyes again Autumn was still dangling from his fist, in another blink of an eye Harry was behind Liam, with a elongated razor sharp nail against his throat ready to rip it out of anybody made a wrong move. I too stood up and moved to stand just behind Louis, close enough so that I could move to save him but not so close that I would be causing him any discomfort.  Liam eyes widened but then he opened his fist to drop Autumn and he cunningly smiled to himself, “Alone, you call this alone?”  Liam snarled waving his hands indicating to all of us.

“If I makes you feel any better, Louis didn’t ask us to come” I said and Liam’s head snapped up and he looked into my eyes, “Wow, wow look who we have here the elusive Zayn Malik” he bowed mockingly and I nodded stiffly “Sorry that I can’t say that I’ve heard of you” Liam nodded, and waved his hands so that two girls came out of the bushes and flanked Liam.

“May I introduce you to Lila who you have met already” I nodded at the blonde haired Vampire again and then looked at the one with black hair who was oddly enough wearing sunglasses despite the fact that it was night time. “This is Viola” we all nodded stiffly and I moved forwards and cocked my head as I looked over then again.

 “Where’s Josh?” Autumn’s voice echoed my thoughts and I watched as the others all shared a shifty glance with each other, “He was caught up doing something else” Lila explained tersely, and I knew at once that this was a touchy subject. Harry laughed from beside me in disbelief, “You don’t know where he is do you?”
