Breaking An Entering

This week is my birthday, only 3 days. I walk to school but don't see Lucas or Adriana on my way there. When I get to school, Adriana is talking to Lucas. Once Adriana sees me, she walks over, "Hey! So.. Lucas and I were talking and we think you need fun! So.. We are going to meet here tonight! In the school" Adriana says with a big smile, "Wait, but that's breaking in isn't it?" I say. "No! Think of it as... An adventure!" Adriana says. "No" I say walking to my locker, "Come on Ali! When was the last time you had fun!?" Adriana says following right behind me, "I don't know. But I'm not breaking into the school." I say, "Fine! Then we'll go to the park or something!" Adriana says. "Okay." I say walking to my class. Adriana walks away and I see her go over to Lucas and tell him something. Lucas walks over to me, "Hey... Why don't you wanna come?" Lucas says. "Because that's breaking in!!" I say, "Alice, come on, it'll be fun." Lucas says smiling, "I know! I've already been told by Adri!" I say, "And anyway, I have a curfew." I say, "then.... Sneak out" Lucas says, "sneak out!? And brake into the school!" I say looking at him now, "yeah! Alice, come on!" Lucas says looking at me, "uh... F-fine!!" I say. "Cool!" Lucas says walking back over to Adriana, I see her throw her arms up in the air and look at me, I look back and laugh at her.

Once the day is over I go home and do my homework. At 10:30 I get a text from Adriana saying that she's coming over with Lucas. I put on a sweatshirt and jeans and grab my phone. I sneak as quietly as possible to avoid waking my sisters or mom, and pray that Bailey doesn't wake up and bark at me, she'd wake everyone in the neighborhood if she did that. I hear a gentle knock at the door and go outside to see Lucas and Adriana, "guys.. Are we really doing this?" I say. "Of course!" They both say at the same time. We walk to the school and when we get there, we try to open the doors but they're locked, "oh well! Let's go back home!" I say turning around, "No!!" Adriana says, "I know a door that's ALWAYS open.. Follow me" Adriana says, we follow her the the office doors and go in, "guys.. We shouldn't be doing this" I say. "Yes we should" Adriana says, "I'm gonna make sure the cost is clear. Stay here and don't move" Adriana says walking into the hallway. "So.. Um.." Lucas says, "Yeah.." I say. UGH WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?!! I say in my head. "Hey! I heard your birthday is in a couple days.." Lucas says, "Y-yeah... It is.." I say not making eye contact. "Cool. Well.. I got you something..." Lucas says pulling a small little gift box out of his jacket. "Y-You didn't have to get me anything!!" I say. "Yeah I did." He says handing me the box. "T-thanks..." I say bushing. I open it and see... Something I did not expect.
