Chapter 2:When and why?

Max pulled up with my truck and I hopped in, hitting my head on the roof as I did.

"Jesus." I screeched, rubbing my head with my hand. I heard Max laugh and I hit him upside the head.

"So did your dad tell you yet?" He asked.

"Tell me what?" I said, really confused.

"Oh um never mind." Max said rubbing the back of his neck.

"Tell me!!!!!!" I screamed in his ear.

"Nope I promised your pops I wouldn't." That mother fucker. In case you hadn't noticed, my dad and I didn't get along very well. I glared at Max and he chuckled at me. I sat there silent for the next 5 minutes as we drove around Tennessee roads to get to my house. We lived on Lake Jordan in a freakin' huge ass house and Max lived down the road from us. We stopped in front of my house and he parked my truck. he looked at me with a puppy face and I closed my eyes. I unlocked my seatbelt and and stomped in my house.

I walked into the Kitchen and saw my mom, dad and big brother, Ben, sitting around our Island. I ran over to Ben and hugged him while managing to spill his coffee on my dad. I snickered as my Dad went upstairs to change his pants.

"Hey Sis." Ben said hugging me tighter than I was hugging him. I gripped his arm in my hand.

"Been working out then?" I asked, raising my eyebrows up and down.

"Always. Gotta be fit for the ladies, ain't that right Max?" My brother asked, looking up and down at Max.

"What? Uh yeah." He muttered, blushing slightly. I laughed and my laughter died when my Dad came back downstairs.

"Eliza, we have something to tell you." He said calm but a look of worry in his eyes.

"Continue on Jackson." I said to my dad starkly. He glared at me but kept talking.

"Eliza we are moving to Colorado for-" And that's all he got out before I walked away. I heard Max follow me up the stairs but I dashed in to the gym, A place I would never go even If I had to.

"Tag you're it." Max said behind me and I chuckled a bit.

"Its hide'n'seek not tag you idiot." I smirked as he feigned being hurt.

"Back to business,"he said, being serious," you and your family are moving to Colorado because Jackson is now playing for the broncos. And me being the awesome at best friend that you have ever had, convinced my mom to let me go with you so we can finish high school together." He said grinning.

"Seriously? I would love to go to Colorado with you but WE have a team that needs us Max. What'll they do without us?" I asked, more to myself than him.

"They have Ty they'll be fine but this is a once in a lifetime chance for you and I want to be there by your side every step of the way." He said pulling me in for a hug.

"When?" I asked, my voice shalt.

"August 15 so a month from today." He said and I sighed.

"We should go before and take the long way there." I suggested.

"Nope I've never been on a plane so that's the way were going." Darn I thought that would work.

"Okay but you know what this means right?" I asked him.

"Yup, the broncos are now are least favorite team because they have been corrupted." He said smiling at me and hugging me tight enough to break a rib. I squeezed his arm.

"Ben's right, you have been working out." I said smirking. A blush crept on to his cheeks and I laughed at him

"Oh ill get you Eli." He said trying to grab me but I dashed towards the door.

"Only if you can catch me first." I said, sticking my tongue out at him and running away from him.
