Why is falling asleep on a train so uncomfortable? As I sit in a train car on my way to Tulsa to see my brothers again after 6 years,I can't help but wonder how much of me they remember.
I probably look like Sodapop still, considering we're twins. I miss him so much he was my best friend and we did everything together.
I miss Darry a lot to he's 22 now, and was always protective over me and used to stand up to the boys who picked on me.
Then, there's Ponyboy. Ponyboy is my little brother by 2 years so he's 14. Pony was always there with me when Soda didn't want to do stuff with me.
When are parents died everyone took it really hard, and because I was sent to a boarding school in New York that didn't let the students leave the school, until after they were 'better people of the world', I couldn't go see my brothers.
My parents sent me to this school because I liked to get into trouble, and I liked to be as tough as the boys were, and our mom thought I was getting out of hand so she decided to send me to the boarding school. I didn't want to go, I didn't want to leave my family and friends and go to New York.
But, now that I'm on my way back to Tulsa I'm probably going to go back to causing trouble but not getting caught because I'm really good at not getting caught.
When the train finally stopped in Tulsa, I jumped out the doors of the train with my luggage in my hand. I stood on a bench nearby to see if I could see them. Over at the back of the train station stood a man who looked similar to me, met my eyes, and I knew I was looking right at Sodapop Curtis.
I bolted off the bench and through the crowd of people pushing and shoving as I went. When I finally got to him, I jumped into his open arms, and he hugged me with all his might. When he finally let go he looked me over and I did the same to him. "Skye, you've changed so much, you look like a woman now," he said.
"Well, a lot can change in 6 years" "Where's Darry, and Pony?" I asked him.
"There back at home waiting for me to come back with you".
"Well then, let's get going I can't wait to see them" I yelled as I ran to the truck.
