2 – Thalia
She leaned in, gently pressing her lips on mine to see how I reacted. I opened my mouth allowing her entrance, wrapping my arms around her neck. Her arms snaked around my waist as she pushed me up against the wall. Fire burned my skin at her touch, but I liked it. Our lips moved faster, our inhibitions slipping even further, our embrace growing tighter. But alas, it didn’t last. Reality kicked in seconds later, the full impact of the horror I had just performed fore-fronted in my mind.
What had I done?
My eyes snapped open and my lips snapped shut. I pushed her away violently, fingers resting on my kiss-sore lips. Shock and confusion was in her eyes. Her! I kissed a girl!
“Thalia, I-!” she began but I interrupted her.
“What the actual fuck Shane!” I yelled at her, tears forming in my eyes.
“You kissed me back, I thought -!”
“You thought wrong! I am not a lesbian and I never will be!”
“But you said-!” she said, hurt added to her facial expressions.
“I said nothing!” I exclaimed, “This never happened!”
Her expression hardened. I spun and stormed out of the house party and speed walked down the street. Steps thundered behind me as Shane chased after me.
“Leave me alone!” I yelled, but she caught my arm and spun me round to face her. We stood there chest to chest breathing heavily, neither of us moving. I knew I should, but I was paralyzed.
“You can’t run from this Thalia,” she breathed, “and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure you don’t!” She leant in ever so slightly, noses brushing then retreated into the shadows.
I don’t know how long I stood in the middle of the street trying to make sense of it, bu I knew that nothing could ever be the same again. I broke down.
What had I done?
