2- Aladdin's Lair

Men rush into the house and first search the main level. They don't find her.

The general sends half to the basement and the other half upstairs. Men rush to do as they are told. They bang open doors as they walk down the hall.

The men reach Aladdin's room and when one if them knocks they go away swearing. "God damn, that fucking door's hot."

"If course it is! It's armed with lasers that can torch you in less than a second," she says, like it is obvious and everyone should know that.

"We have located the target, please join us in the second floor," a man reports back through the walki-talki.

"I'm here, what's the problem major?"

"She won't come out, sir, and the door is armed, general sir."

"So, it's a girl..." he says more to himself than anyone. "Well Miss, I would like you to please come out from behind your weapons, so we can talk."

"We are talking now aren't we?" Aladdin asks. "And do you have a search warrant?"

"Yes, we have a warrant and I would like to have a civilized conversation with you," General Smith says.

"Is it so important, that you break into my house to get me to talk?" Aladdin asks.

"Yes, we think you would like to hear what I have to say. I'll even leave myself unarmed with my men to back me up, when you come out, if you are unarmed."

"If it is only you. All of your men must wait outside until our business has been conducted. I'll even let the radio you carry to stay on," Aladdin says deceptively.

Who in the world would come out against a stronger opponent and not have something to give them a leg up? She will bring something out, the general thought for sure.

"I have given you my bargain. Do you accept General Smith?"

"Wait, how do you know my name?"

"It'd be so easy to just tell you, but turning you words back to you, I would like to have a civilized conversation with you."

"Fine, but I keep my gun," Smith answered.

"By all means, you have entered the devils lair. Please, come in."

The general hesitated.

"The laser system has been turned off, and even if I wanted to try anything, you have all your men right there. It would just be my undoing."

He reaches out and touches the door. It is cool to the touch, he turns the nob and walks in. His troops leave the house as promised.
