"Hey are you going to the football party?" I asked Garret. I was so glad he picked up the phone right after the first ring. To me it meant he wasn't so focused on school and basketball. "Yeah. Are you and Beth going?" He asked. He was out of breathe. I mean he did just come out from basketball practice, but still. He's never been that out of breathe. "Getting ready right now. Wanna meet up?" I asked while picking out what to wear. "Uh yeah. I'll text you." And without even saying goodbye he hung up. "Bye to you too." I muttered under my breath. "Is everything alright?" Beth said while raiding my closet. "No. He said he was going to the part and when I asked if he wanted to meet up he said he would text me and hung up without saying I love you or goodbye." Beth gave me an empathetic look. "Help me pick out a outfit"

Twenty minutes later we had each settled on our outfits. I lent Beth borrow my black cocktail dress, black floral print tights and my bright pink pumps. I on the other hand had settled on a silver rhinestone dress with fishnet tights and silver rhinestone heels. "Sexy pick." Beth muttered to me for I was the one who picked out her outfit. "As to you. I haven't even worn this dress yet. Or that one so they basically are both brand new." Beth smiled gratefully at me. Her family didn't have much money so most of her closet consisted of my clothes. But I don't care; Beth is my best friend and when she needs something I'll be her fairy god-mother and help her out.(See the Cinderella connection? :)
Another ten minutes later, after packing our purses and doing makeup, we were finally out of the house and about a half hour late to the party.
I pulled my phone out of my purse right as we were pulling into the football team captain, Cameron's, driveway. I called Garret and luckily he answered. "Hey, babe you almost here?" He asked. "Just pulled into the driveway. Meet at the door in two?" I said while motioning for Beth to take the wheel. "Got it see you in a few." He hung up without saying goodbye. Again. In one day. Something was definitely up. "Ready?" Beth tore me away from my thoughts. "Ready."

What do you think is going to go down at the party? I'm not sure yet myself to be honest with you. Writers block happens to me a lot and as I'm writing ideas pour into my mind like a waterfall and I can't help but fitting it in somewhere. I guess you could say I have an active imagination.
