Separate Paths (The Offical Ending)

Pairing: Isabela x Jace ,  Slight Riele x Jace?

Riele sighed to herself as she watched the  teen nick actors converse.

"Riele, aren't you gonna join us?" Isabela asked.

"No thanks" she mumbles plugging her earphones in.

She scrolls through her phone checking her messages and what's not.

"Riele" Ella touched her shoulder causing her to look up.

"Are you ok?" she asks.

She looks up from her phone to see Jace and Isabela kissing each other.

"I'm fine" she ignores the couple.

"Are you sure?" Ella asks again but she ignored her.

"I'll be right back guys" she rushes out of the room.

Riele sighs as she runs outside.

She feels a tear roll down her cheek as she sits against the wall.

"Gosh I'm such a loser" she mumbles wiping her tears away.

She closed her eyes as she felt the cool breeze comfort her.

Her eyes suddenly snapped open when she heard footsteps.

"Who's there?" she instantly stood up.

"I came to see what's wrong" Jace walked closer to her causing her to take a couple of steps back.

"You shouldn't be this close to me" she mumbles looking away.

"Why not?"he asked.

"Because... you have a girlfriend" she says and but instantly regrets every single word.

Jace continues to look at her with an unbelievable expression.

"You're.. joking right?" he laughs a bit but frowns at her serious face.

"Does it look like I am?" she folded her chest.

"Riele" he sits next to her. "Were friends right?" he asks.

The question runs through her head and she wonders.

"Jace" she turned to him. "Is that all you see me as?, just your friend?" she asks him.

There was complete silence between the two.

"I knew it" she laughed a little.

"I can't believe I was so stupid to fall for you Jace Norman" she turns away from him.

"What's that supposed to mean?" his eyebrows furrowed.

"Just go back to your girlfriend!" she looks at him

"I'm tired of you pretending like you care!" she yells.

"I'm not leaving you out here ok?" he yells back.

"Stop leading me on! Just leave me alone ok?" she starts to walk back inside but feels something jerking her back.

All she felt was his warmth embracing her in a hug.

"Let me go" she warned.

"No" he buried his face in her black locks.

"Why don't you leave me alone?" she breaks down in tears.

"Because you're my best friend" he smiles.

And at that moment Riele finally realized.

That's all she'll ever be.
