-Kaori's pov-
The two of us walked silently down the cobblestone road, nothing but the sound of the birds in the sky chirping happily.

It wasn't an awkward silence though, it never is with us.
We kind of just...walk.

We decided to walk all the way to the forest because it would be an adventure so we continued to walk silently.

After about half an hour of not talking I decide to speak.

"What are we going to do when night falls?" I ask smiling at him.

He looks down at me.
"I guess set up a fire." He says and smiles slightly.

"Do you want to do that now?" I ask, my sweet, weak sounding voice quiet from nerves.

"Yeah we probably should before we can't see anything, I'll clear some space" he says, he starts to move a bunch of fallen leaves into a pile, then moving small twigs and sticks.

I stood waiting for an instruction for a few seconds before realising he wasn't going to give my any, then I walk around the tree covered area and collect a few branches and sticks that have fallen to give to gray.

I bring them back and put them in the centre of the now cleared forest floor, on top and around the pile of leaves and other collected twigs Gray piled together.

After we are done constructing our fire I walk back to our bagging that is sprawled so carelessly on the cold ground and pick up our two sleeping bags and blankets.

I walk back to the ice Mage who is trying to light the fire with a piece of 'flint'.

"What are you doing?" I laugh at his failure.

"It's not working" he groans slightly annoyed.

I reach for the piece of concrete.

"May I?" I ask smiling at him.

"Go for it" he says and hands it to me.

I toss it carelessly over my shoulder and start to rub two sticks together, leaving the annoyed ice Mage confused.

"That wasn't a flint stone Gray, max gave you a chunk of concrete" I giggle.

"I'll do the beds then" he says annoyed and picks up the bedding then walks to the other side of the fire.

I continue to rub the two sticks together until I see smoke. Before the smoke comes however I look up and see Gray laying the beds incredibly close to each other.

I giggle and continue to light the fire.

Shortly after the sun is setting and the sky is darkening.

As if on cue I shiver, the cool breeze slightly getting to me.

"Do you want your blanket?" Asks grays soft voice.

I turn and smile at him.

"No thank you, but thanks for the offer" I smile brightly.

He turns around returning to his bed making.

I lay down next to the stump of a tree and shut my eyes.
