It has been five years since the accident, I feel guilty about it I was in the car I could have helped, I could have prevented it. That's what I tell myself everyday. My girlfriend Avery tries to tell me that it's okay, that it was not my fault, I try to believe her but I have such a difficult time. I call her on the phone, I am in my apartment, in the really congested area of D.C., looking out the window. I hear a ringtone the phone is loud in my ears.

" Hello" my girlfriend Avery says.

" Hi Avery I need to talk to you, can I come over?"

" Sure I'll tell the guards to let you in, you have your ID with you right."

" Yes I do, I'll be right over."

" Okay, love you see you soon."

" Love you too, see you when I get there."

I walk downstairs to get my bike, bikes are better to ride in D.C. than to try to drive, you can get around a lot faster than in a car. When I get on my bike and on the streets of the congested city I start heading towards Avery's house. Avery doesn't live the typical house that you would see in the city or in the suburbs. She lives in the biggest house in D.C. Avery lives in the White House, Her dad is the president of the United States of America. I arrive at the gate and automatically the guard lets me in. I get to the huge front entrance and ring the doorbell. Samson opens the door, Samson is the butler. " Aaron nice to see you again, Avery is in the east room I will tell her you are here, just follow me."

"Thank you Samson I really appreciate what you do for the family here I wish you worked for me." We walk to the east room and Samson tells Avery I am there. Samson lets me go in the room.

" Hey, what did you want to talk about?"

" I got a call the other day, from my landlord it was the company that owns my apartment, they told me I have ten days to leave or pay the rent, if I don't they are putting it on the market and I would be on the streets without a home."

" Do you have the money for the rent?" Avery asks with a worried voice.

" No I don't have the money for that, my job won't pay me enough money for the rent."

" I am going to call my dad to get down here and talk to you."

Avery's dad, Justin, comes down to the room we are in, sits down next to me and asks me why he had to be called down to the room. I explain to him my situation and then he says to me,

" Aaron your a good kid, and you love my kid so I am going to let you live here in the white house with us. Go get your things come back and unpack welcome to the white house and our crazy family."
