(Third-Person POV: )

Two little blue lines... One horizontal, one vertical, both completely unexpected. The little blue positive sign on the little piece of plastic nearly gave Molly Hooper-Holmes a heart attack. She stumbled back and sat on the toilet, her mind racing with both excitement and worry. She was pregnant with Sherlock Holmes' child. Lifelong dream come true for her, but probably going to be a nightmare for Sherlock. He never actually loved her. He just married her to keep her safe. That in itself makes you question that, but he didn't love Molly Hooper.

She knew Sherlock was alive, she needed protection. If Moriarty's men got a hold on her they may find out Sherlock was alive, and he couldn't have that. Molly knew what she was getting into when she agreed to marry him, but she never expected to get pregnant! What would Sherlock think and do? She wracked her brain for the possible answer, finding nothing but dust bunnies in that area. She sighed and glanced at the clock. Just after 17:00. Sherlock would be home any minute. Molly got up and disposed of the pregnancy test, going through their room and into the kitchen. She began to start on her salad as Sherlock came through the front door. Her stomach did a flip-flop as he did.

"Hello, Sherlock." She said like she did every day.

"Hello Molly." He replied like he did every day. He hung up his coat and immediately went to his chair on the right side of the fireplace, steeping his fingers under his chin.

"How was work?" She asked, looking into the salad.

"Good." He answered blankly, his mouth the only thing moving when he spoke.

"Good. Is John and them safe yet?" She continued, trying to sound natural but finding it hard because she didn't usually ask any extra questions. She kicked herself mentally when he opened an eye to look at her.

"Are you feeling well?" He asked.

"Yes. I'm good. Why?" She replied, talking too quickly and staring down at a tomato like it made a face at her. Sherlock raised an eyebrow and opened both eyes.

"What's the matter?" He questions.

"Nothing. I'm fine." She insists, covering the tomato with a leaf of lettuce. He gave her a sarcastic look.

"I know when you're lying, Molly." He said almost smugly.

"I know." She replied quietly, giving up on using the salad to distract her.

"Are you okay?" He asked sincerely, now looking at her with a face of concern. She shakes her head no, an expression of worry prominent on her features. He gets up and goes over to her, standing in front of her and towering over her small figure. "What's the matter?" She purses her lips and rubs her upper left arm.

"I'm... pregnant, Sherlock." She admitted quietly, looking down at the floor between her feet. Sherlock raised his head slowly, looking over her head and into space blankly. "I'm sorry, I didn't know how you'd react." She said sheepishly. Without another word, Sherlock left the kitchen, grabbed his coat, and walked out of the house.
