Surprise (Sabo x Reader)

Chapter 2

Your POV

You giggled softly at a nearby table. Koala was also quietly chuckling in front of you. Both of you were wearing cheap wigs and color-tinted sunglass, just for fun. However, you were still unsure about one thing. "Is it okay that Sabo thinks I'm kidnapped?"

"Don't worry! I actually wanted you to be kidnapped the whole time, but because of your protests, we added that fact that Kidnapper-san might not exist," Koala replied, "Time to move on to the next part." She pointed to Sabo, who had just finished his second breakfast.

"I hope he'll realize that I'm not kidnapped, though..."

"Like I said, don't worry!" Koala hurried you out of the cafeteria. "Now you need to go to the secret place, and don't come out at all, or else you'll ruin everything! I keep you in check on Sabo-kun's progress."

Sabo's POV

"Next object..."

"Sabo-kun! I didn't know you were this hungry!" Sabo quickly hid the note and looked to see Koala. Again.

"I didn't know you had so much time. This is the second I've seen you today and it hasn't been an hour since I last saw you."

"So what are ya doing?"

Sabo felt the note in his pocket. "You can't tell anyone," the note had said. "Nothing much... um... have you seen (Name)?"

"(Name)? She's been gone for awhile. Haven't seen her at all," Koala lied, "Guess she's busy.... Do you need her?"

"Kind of..."

"Maybe try the combat arena. Doesn't she always go there after breakfast?"

"Thanks!" Sabo started heading towards the arena. "Combat arena, huh..."

*Flashback*

"Catch!" Sabo tossed a pipe to (Name).

"I still don't see how you fought with these when you were younger," (Name) swung the the pipe. "All you do is wave it around, right?"

"It's very durable and now since I know Haki, I can strengthen it," Sabo coated the metal with Armament Haki. "Wanna duel?"

(Name) did the same. "Sure, why not?" She came first and swung the pipe at Sabo. Sabo quickly dodged the attack and aimed for (Name). He was met with counterattack by (Name) who struck his pipe. The two stood there, pushing against each other. Finally, (Name) gave way and ducked as Sabo swung over her. The total fight lasted ten minutes and many people had stopped what they were doing and came to watch the fight between the Chief of Staff and Chief Tactician. It ended with both sides at loss. Sabo was sprawled on the floor, limbs stretched out, breathing hard. His pipe was currently stuck in one of the walls of the combat arena. (Name) was leaning against the wall, near Sabo's pipe, breathless. Her pipe was flung across the room and had almost hit some suspecting speculators.

"I guess that it is helpful," (Name) declared in between deep breaths, "But I'll just stick to daggers..."

"I haven't had a fight like this in a long time," Sabo exclaimed.

(Name) smiled. "Another duel tomorrow?"

*Flashback end*

Sabo opened the double doors to the combat arena. People were lifting weights, practicing aim, sword fighting. (Name) yet again was nowhere in sight. Down casted, Sabo went to the weapons cabinet in the right corner of the huge room and selected the daggers, remembering (Name) saying that she rather "stick" to them. When he lifted it up, he noticed another blue slip taped at the end.
